I got a bolt on from Vodafone for £2.50 and it allows 0800/0808/0500/0845 and 0870 calls to come out of my inclusive minutes.
Bonza!!
Your bolt on costs you £30 per year. The number I quoted costs nothing...
@izools, I'm not sure if 0845 numbers are covered...only ever used it for 0800 numbersBCSC Member 70:j

Some of them don't have alternatives, or suggests calling an 0800 number, so then you have to dial a call-through number. I just want to pick the phone up and call the number and not mess around. £2.50 is worth it for me just for that alone, and my plan is better value than my last one anywaysI spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

Got my first statement a month after I received/registered the card.
Probably best to phone them and ask when your first statement will be produced if the matter is important to you.
If you sign up for eVanquis http://www.evanquis.co.uk/ you'll be able to check when you first/next statement is due online. But don't forget to disable paper billing, otherwise you'll be charged 49p per month. :mad:0 -
do I have to call them to disable paper billing? or can I do it online on evanquis? no, it's not really important, I was just wondering cos this is gonna be my first credit card, and I don't know how it works with paying, like.. so let's say you spend, after a month that you registered the card you will receive the bill, then do you have to pay right away? or you have please pay by date? in fact, how many days do you have (more or less) to pay, before you incure on a late fee?0

You can opt in and out of paper billing online. Paper billing and online billing are both free when individually selected, but if you choose to have both at the same time you're charged 49p a month.
Your statement will tell you when payment is due, which is usually about three weeks after it was produced, but don't forget your payment may take a few days to reach your Vanquis account, so it's a good idea to pay it a week or so before the due date. You can either choose to pay the full balance, the minimum payment, or anything else in between.
If you don't pay the balance off in full you'll be charged interest on your purchases from the date they were made.
The interested charged by Vanquis is pretty high, so you should aim to pay off your balance in full each month.0 -
PIN arrived today, exactly two weeks since the approval call from Vanquis.
Most people here say they got the card first so that's worrying as no sign of my card yet.
Probably just paranoid, it's my first credit card (or any form of credit) since my IVA ended earlier this year.Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0 -
