Nobody forces you to apply for a vanquis or any credit card for that matter and most vanquis customers probably did have access to mainstream credit before but for whatever reason failed to use it well.
I agree with the above and i think most people that use this thread do too - We are all using Vanquis for a reason, To be honest there are not that many 'anti-Vanquis' statements on here.
For what Vanquis offer then they are the best in their game - They offer the chance to rebuild credit to those that have been declined everywhere else and most of us could not care if the APR is 70% or 700% as when paying the balance in full and using the account correctly the APR means nothing!:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21

Direct debit was taken today but isn't showing as being credited to my account online. How long does it take to show? Im getting a bit worried as i did a bank transfer last Thursday and this isn't showing either. I've checked all the details and these are all correct.0

Give them a call now to check they have received the payments otherwise you might be charged a late payment fee if there is something wrong and for whatever reason the payments have not reached them.:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21

I was told when I phoned that they knew I had a direct debit payment today but that it would show tomorrow - but if I wanted to make a debit card payment it would take 3 working days. Given the number of bank holidays we've just had its not surprising it doesn't show today - try on Friday

I've no idea why computers take a holiday, but sadly they do. So due to that ***** wedding. Friday was a day off for computers, so was saturday, sunday and monday. So Today Tuesday is the first working day since you paid. Give it a few more days.
Although I made a online payment last week, and it showed the next day. But not over the bank holiday. I also made a payment last night, although my statement is not due for a couple of weeks. only made that one, because I was down to my last £20 of available credit. Hoping that will show tonight.
