Yep, as I said, it doesn't list pending transactions.

It shows available credit. No need for a list of the places you used the card showing pending. I keep a spreadsheet also. It took a couple of minutes to write the code or what ever it's called. I update it daily. Date, Place used and ammount. It then tells me my available credit to the penny and total spent the moment I enter the amount spent.

Takes a minute at most each day to update. Although I have only had my card just under a month I used it for everything in the last few weeks. If somewhere will take a card without charging a fee. I use it. Even used it for stuff costing a £1. Must of had about 60 transactions on it in the last few weeks. I'de even use it for a 10p box of matches if I could. I will of cause pay it in full when my statement arrives. Already paid some off last week. It took about 24 hours to hit my vanquis account from paying it using online banking. My limit is small. Only £250. I just leave the money in the bank and when it reaches say £200 I make a online payment, and when the statement is produced. Just pay off the remaining in full. Vanquis obviously make money from the retailer on every transaction. So they will be pleased having dozens and dozens of transactions from me.

Ok just a little advice for the past 3 years i have not been accepted for anything!:eek:However dealing with some of my previous debts has obviously helped as i have been accepted for the Vanquis card, Got a 24 month mobile contract and just today applied for a 'Very' account [Previously declined] and given £150 account limit.

I assume the above is meaning that whilst still bad my credit rating is improving - I do not want to use the Very account but want to know if it will still report to my credit file or not if it remains unused? Thanks:)

Why did you apply for a very account, its not the more credit you have the bigger credit score you will get.
Having 1 credit card is quite sufficient in building a better rating, don't fall into the trap where you think the more stuff on my report the better it looks.
    Over committed can look negative

Thanks for the reply - Have read lots on here from people rebuilding their credit rating saying its good to have 1 mobile contract, 1 credit card and 1 catalogue account as all 3 report in different ways.

You will get many reply's on here but finding the right answer can also be a problem.
You don't need to have a catalogue account to build up a history, the people who have told you this are them who could only get a blo0dy catalogue account at the time, you having the vanquis card paying that on time for 12-18 months no missed/late payments and mainstream lenders will take your application more seriously.

Vanquis obviously know something about you that you don't.

I guess it's time to make sure your will and life assurance are up to date. :)

And all because, despite what you suggest, eVanquis doesn't list pending transactions.

I've highlighted the word list in bold in case you miss it for a third time!

who needs to see pending transactions. Balance and available credit is all that matters. You're paper statement doesn't show it either.

I must say I find most peoples anti-vanquis sentiment on here quite confusing. They are a legit business offering a service. Its not like people dont know they charge 70% apr on their cards before applying for them!

Nobody forces you to apply for a vanquis or any credit card for that matter and most vanquis customers probably did have access to mainstream credit before but for whatever reason failed to use it well.
