Vanquis are that easy to get they would even consider people who don't exist.
Unfortunately getting accepted for a Vanquis card does not mean your credit is much better, it just means you are in the lowest league possible when it comes to credit cards and at the foot of the table.
But use it wisely and you will see the benefits later on...0 -

Which is why they often ask for ID to prove that the person does exsist. I don't believe for one minute that even Vanquis are that careless when it comes to issuing cards - As this thread proves with many people saying they have been declined cards.:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21

Perhaps you haven't used better online billing systems offered by other credit card companies.
As someone else has highlighted, eVanquis doesn't tell you your APR; it doesn't list pending transactions; and making a payment is difficult if you use a pop up web browser blocker.
It shows you your available credit after each transaction. My credit limit is only £250, if I spend say £30 in ASDA then check online the moment I get home it shows £220 available.0 -
I have 3 defaults(from 2007), one unsettled and I was accepted £250 credit.0

Star fire was not being serious when he suggested they issue cards to non existent people.
He was being a little sarcastic towards vanquis. It does often seem they hand the cards out willy-nilly.
Many people get further into debt with increased problems due to the punitive interest rate on vanquis cards. So , as star fire advises, use the card VERY wisely.
Build up your rating - this will take time - then get a better card and ditch vanquis.0 -

Ok just a little advice for the past 3 years i have not been accepted for anything!:eek:However dealing with some of my previous debts has obviously helped as i have been accepted for the Vanquis card, Got a 24 month mobile contract and just today applied for a 'Very' account [Previously declined] and given £150 account limit.
I assume the above is meaning that whilst still bad my credit rating is improving - I do not want to use the Very account but want to know if it will still report to my credit file or not if it remains unused? Thanks:):dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21
