Do you not mean Aqua, thy used to be backed by halifax and is now under the brand of RBS, so they are nothing to do with vanquis are a part of Provident. Unless anyone knows otherwise?

Nope I meant aquis. I'd not come across it either but here it is in all its glory:

Indeed. However it's from their main site and the APR is more attractive than other cards I've seen, as well as quite friendly starting rates (to put into perspective, cap 1 gave me £200 limit at their usual expensive rate, aquis have given me £1k at a fairly cheap rate compared to the majority of their cards).

Weird, that there's no google on it either because it apparently launched in 2009 along with their black diamond card according to the company history blurb.

Seems a much better card than Vanquis in terms of the APR - Wonder why they keep it hidden?!

This guy is on another thread giving advice on a 27k loan and he can't even get himself a decent credit card.

If you read closely you'll note that actually it's not that bad a credit card at all.

And given that you've been stalking my posts clearly, you may note that I have a 2k limit on an HSBC credit card, obviously not 'decent' enough for you.

    Stop... trolling.. and... stalking... me...

    Strange little man.

Yup, that's what I thought too. Now it'll be interesting when the card arrives to see what I get. She did say that I was successful in getting an aquis card, but that could just be a referral to the originating card application rather than the card itself.

Aesthetically I don't care anyway, so long as the interest etc that she quoted to me over the phone was correct (well as correct as it ever gets with Vanquis' over simplified and rather misleading calculations!)

Did they do the usual with the Aquis card as they do with Vanquis when accepting applications - Try and sell PPI and offer a cash advance?

Yupyup. Although when I said 'hangon, this is PPI isn't it?' she said no. Then said 'well sort of'.

Anyway I turned it down and all that jazz.
