i have a Jacamo account with all greens since last november but I have 2 defaults, no ccj's though and never been bankrupt. I moved to my address only 3 months ago so not on electoral roll yet but on the phone she asked for two more addresses which totalled 6yrs of being on there. so I really don't have a clue how its going to go!0

the defaults are from 2006, but are getting paid by the way!0

Can anyone help me, I've been thinking about the phone conversation with Vanquis yesterday where more details were needed and she asked for my bank account number and sort sode even though she said they would make a decision in the next couple of days, surely they wouldnt need it until had I had actually been approved, just a little worried now after I gave them so freely. I rang them after recieving a letter in the post so wasn't like it was some random call to me!0

I'm not holding out much hope to be honest, already thought I'd been declined earlier in the week due to a phone conversation and the length of time its taken, but just a little worried that I gave my bank details over, do you know how long it took after the phonecall to find out it had been declined?0

Your just going to have to be patient and wait until they are ready to tell you what they have decided, you have really not done yourself any favours by giving them false details no matter what "good" reason you think you had to do so, some mainstream lenders would have seen this as fraud so the fact they are willing to even consider you now is unbelievable, to them if you can lie about something as trivial about a phone number then they will think you are capable of lying and being deceitful with most things.
I am not having a go at you, but you have made a few posts here now and nobody has the answer you are looking for, if you had told the truth in the first place you would not be in this position now would you?
I would expect a decline anything else is a bonus, count yourself lucky they have not gone down the CIFAS route........................."You can measure a man's character by the choices he makes under pressure"Sir Winston Churchill0 -
Anyone thinking of applying to Vanquis you may do yourself more favours of you apply for the new Granite card from them, it is basically a Vanquis card in drag, I applied and believe me I have a truly terrible credit record no CIFAS or anything "dodgy" but plenty of CCJ's and defaults, my new card arrived this morning the basic limit to start off with but I am grateful they are willing to give me a chance
With it being a new card they may be a bit more keen to increase card members, at the moment I would apply for this rather than the normal Vanquis card, do a google for granite card it should be the first result, exactly the same process apply online, they ring you to sell PPI and offer cash advacne 7-10 days later card arrives, you can even register the card with evanquis for online account maintenance
Hope that helps someone..............."You can measure a man's character by the choices he makes under pressure"Sir Winston Churchill0
