Hi, my first statement is due to be produced today... i called to ask if the first amount would come out in full by dd and that has been confirmed that it will come out on 28th of sept. So does this mean my full credit limit will be available to me again from tomorrow?
cheers0 -

No, it will be available once you've paid the current months balance - so after the 28th.
They can't make available what you're yet to pay backCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Thanks for your quick reply, i know the statements are monthly but will it always be on the same day of every month.. like will my next one be on the 3rd october 3rd november etc? or does that depends when and if you use your card during the month?
Thank you again0 -
Yes, statements are always produced on the same date regardless of how much you use your card.0

Well, it's more or less the same date - mine are done around the 4th of the month - this month though, it's produced on the 6th - Monday. I assume this is because the 4th is Saturday and not a "traditional" banking day...My posts are my own opinions based on my experiences and info gathered from sites such as this.

well probaly my last post on here for 6 months, just phoned vanquis and the man said I had letter sent out in the post on the 23/08/10 as they tried to call my landline and was told I wasn't in, so Im presuming that is a decline as he wouldn't say much more! oh well hopefully in the spring I will have better luck and apply when I'm not at work, god knows why they didn't try my mobile!0

Applied 9pm last night and called telling me I was accepted 8:30am this morning. They tried to sell me PPI which I refused and gave the reason that I know where to get total income protection cheaper, they may have gone for the hard sell if I hadn't insisted. The cash advance was offered, but they took no as an answer straight away for that one. Mainly applied for the £25 cashback through topcashback and just to see if I can still be accepted for something. Strictly last resort usage only."A bank* is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather and ask for it back when it begins to rain."
(*Unless it's Santander. The branch says they sent you an umbrella 3 times already and don't understand why you don't have it yet and want it back right now!!!)0 -
Last week I posted here saying my limit was increased to £2,250. Well I got something through the post letting me know I had now hit "gold status" and I then got a gold credit card in the post to replace my current one. Apparently the APR is the same and min payments etc are all the same but now I have the gold card and a telephone number that puts me through to them quicker. Anyone else get this?
I've had my limit increased to £3K and got the "gold service" telephone numbers - but no mention of a new "gold" card - feeling left out now
That said, I have recently been accepted for an Abbey Zero card with with a £1500 limit and 0% on BT/purchases for 6 months. Also have a Barclaycard Inital with £800 limit and a Silvercard with 0% in the post - no idea on limit/normal rate for the Silvercard - but happy days - soon be rid of Vanquis methinks! My posts are my own opinions based on my experiences and info gathered from sites such as this.
