I dont even apply for catalogues or store cards cos I automatically assume I will be turned down (sorry if this sounds like I'm feeling sorry for myself :))

What limit do you currently have? Do you have to deal with the dreadful foreign call centre's or have they changed?

99% guarantee that Jd Williams will accept you for a mail order account, £125 limit to start rising quickly. Better option than the Cashplus credit builder card which charges £4.95 per month :D All adds to the prized green zero's which IN TIME do help a great deal :D

Yes they are still a foreign call centre and I do have to repeat myself and spell out words when they still dont understand me :)

What is JD Williams, is it a Littlewoods owned catalogue or something?

By the way thank you very much for all your advice

How right you were, I have been accepted for JD Williams.

Does that mean I am not as bad as I thought or are they like Capital One and Vanquis where they deal with customers with bad credit?

Try Studio or Ace too ... I got a Studio after JD Williams orriginally declined me. All helps for the Greens O's :)

With Jd Williams they allocate the £125 kimit as pretty much standard when you apply.
If you have logged in again today and limit still showing you have definitely been accepted. The limit will rise quickly as you use the account but only spend what you feel comfortable with.
Run this alongside your exiisting Capital one account, technically you don't need more credit to improve your credit rating.
However should you wish to apply for another card or credit based product give it at least 6 months or so.
    Good luck :D

JD Williams have given me an opening starting credit limit of £150 but I am going to be very good with it and never go over limit or miss payments.

I had a missed call today on my mobile and when I called it back it was a voice recorded message saying "you were called today by Vanquis, we will call you again in the near future"

Why are they calling me I already got told yesterday my application had been cancelled?
