    LOL, when you do SAR the 7 companies you'll be impressed at the stuff they have, i mean it even has staff comments like 'the guy started shouting at me and called me an effin nobba' stuff like that (obviously only if you did say it lol)

    I cringed when I read my BT one and realised I need to chill out a little.... on one I demanded that I speak to someone from England being I pay in pounds, speak in english and the name of the company is british telecom. The guy on the phone was indeed english, an english asian! ooops. he actually wrote that in the notes!

    LOL. :rotfl::rotfl:

    Quite worrying the amount of data which is floating about.

    Companies can only keep infomation for six years can't they, it has to be deleted after that doesn't it?

    I want to see what the companies say regarding the ID theft i.e I think this guy did not have his identity stolen, I think he is a liar and opened all these accounts himself.....:D

    I can relate - I know for a fact cos Susan Drysdale (senior manager at equifax) slipped up and told me she has read on the notes that several staff think I am the linked person. I told her to watch what she said as I was recording the call.

    LOL

    I'll soon know for sure though, only 6 working days left til they come back to me!!!!!

    Its actually Experian that is causing the issues...... They have today advised me that they are requesting permission to remove the links again but suggested that I contact the IC as the incorrect data keeps being re entered everytime the company sends there monthly update to the CRA

    what company is adding the link?

    Right, now you've opened a can of worms. read the SAR template letter for the answer to this.

    Ok, NO! They keep it longer, therefore you'll notice on my SAR letter there is a paragraph that clearly asks them for data older than 6yrs and if there isn't that I want signed proof it was destroyed properly.

    Sorry to upset you but they are rumoured to keep it indefinitely and then they let possible lenders know even as far as 10 years later than your last debt! Its really dodgy mate, don't be fooled by the laws cos they are reknowned for breaking them.

    It is actually 8 years for linked addressed, but after 6 years you can request that the data is removed as it is now irrelevant. Ultimatly it is still the decsion of whoever entered it!

    yea but his words were something like 'he called me a pa**i in so many words, I don't have to put up with that shat. I told him so and he continued being racist demanding someone from the UK so I told him I was from Birmingham and he seemed to calm down. He did call me a suntanned grape which upset me'.

    I was cringeing.......

    Orange? Are you sure about this?

    Hmmm, that's interesting. And they say you've had a contract at an address which clearly isn't yours right?

    Be honest, was it you or genuinely wasn't?
