No Protective Registration is not negative. All it does is force lenders to assess you manually so you can never get an instant decision. For details look here: http://www.cifas.org.uk/default.asp?edit_id=565-85

I've already posted CIFAS links 100's of times - you guys gotta start reading so you know what it is, what it does, how they protect and neglect you, how they can be removed, how they are added and so on!

Cmmon guys, spend some time reading about the beloved cifas!

    Hope the above helps.....

    Hi Lilac,

If you dont mind how was your account run and when did you get your increases? Also do you pay full or min payment.

    Hi Innocent.

I used the card for petrol only, never any more than £200 a month. I paid in full each month

Add me to the turned down group despite never missing a payment on any debt I've had. DH on a DMP got accepted straight away and they phoned on the mobile as we don't give out landline numbers to anyone.

    Hi Bh

after reading this post and others on this thread, perhaps you are better off without the Vanquis card, maybe but maybe, you are too good for them - they are OK as long as you pay off the whole balance but woe betide you if you don't - they will charge almost double what the high street cards charge!!!

they may be getting fed up with good payers and want risky payers so they can make a profit

You know if Vanquis turn you down, appeal...! They will look at it again, but ensure no fraud etc registered against you....
