  • Well I thought she said I had been accepted but then doubted it when she said they would let me know?? Confused.com or what!!

Its more than likely bordering acceptance so possibly, but the norm is when they ring to confirm numbers, they try and sell you PPi and offer a cash advance - if they done this you've been accepted. If not, then you may have been referred after they spoke to you (what did you say lol)....

Honestly, i'd just wait and you'll get the card through the post next week me thinks ;):D

  • Humm, forgot to mention one thing, she did say that they normally set up a direct debit to take the monthly min payment but I didnt have my bank details to hand and she said that if I was accepted then I could just ring customer services and they would set it up for me..... now does that make it look any more likely??!!
AND!!! I answered everything correctly and identical to what I put on application!! x

I think you've been accepted, if anything ring them tomorrow and offer your bank details for direct debit using the premise you told the woman that rung yesterday you'd ring back today - then say, what was my credit limit again? I can't remember if she said £250 or £520..... (deliberate mistake as they only offer £250 or £500 but it is plausible to get confused into £250 or £520 lol)

That should tell you one way or another mate! :D

They did the same to my hubby. Rang him up, asked him bank details.. he never had his card (I had it ;)) so they said they would ring him again.

Out of curiosity I made him ring them back, they couldn't take the bank details and just said someone would be in touch :j

If he gets this card, after being a recently discharged bankrupt and with all those CCJs I will be shocked.

Have told him he uses it to buy one set thing each month, then pays it in full.. just to get the green zeros on his credit file.

All his gold cards are long gone, along with the 80k debts thank god! :D

He isn't really fussed, I am though. I want to repair his credit file for the inevitable interest rate rise when we come off our fixed rate deal ... which reminds me.. I meant to check the bank of England base rate out ... :o

LOL - the rate remains at half a percent. I just came off my fixed rate onto variable and am loads better off now! Before the fixed rate was 6.19 which was great for a self cert mortgage given in July 07 - but now my rate is along the lines of 2.6% which is like jaw dropping savings! :D

So, ahem, about that proposal of bigamy?
