when i apply got a call the next day
Did they approve you?
I just applied for one of these for my husband who is a discharged bankrupt but I want to clean up his credit file because I want to move house and don't want sub-prime mortgage lending!!
Anyways.. they have tried to ring him several times. Is this to approve him?:cool:0 -

WEll according to the royal mail they got my letter today so hopefully hear something soon....and on another note...FOUR DAYS TO DELIVER A FIRST CLASS LETTER!!!! Shocking...
Hmm....Still not heard anything back from my appeal....and they recieved it on the 19th of December. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?0 -

You don't think I should phone them and say blah blah blah my appeal blah blah blah can you tell me whats happening do you?0

When I applied, I waited about 3 weeks then rang them to ask what was going on. Turned out I had been provisionally accepted and they'd written to me to ask for passport photocopy etc, and the letter hadn't got to me. So definitely worth ringing them; once I'd sent the docs its was quite quick to get my card.0

So once they say you are accepted via telephone, it doesn't necessarily mean you are?:cool:0 -
it normally does yes, on the provision sometimes that you send them some proofs of identity / address etc...
other times if they can find you electronically, they will not need any thing else.0 -
Well...I just gave them a call to see what, if anything, had been decided about my appeal and they said they have nothing on the system so they must still be reviewing it. Acht well. Wasn't holding out much hope anyways. (On another note they aren't the most helpful call centre and that is coming from someone who workds in one so knows how depressing it can be.)0
