Are you on the electoral roll? They may want proof of ID and/or address
yeah have been for the last 4 years and 2 months according to experian.
Also have provident collectors come to the door every week (for last 7months) to colect there small amounts for a small loan i took to help build credit back never missed a payment, and even paid a couple of quid extra a few weeks when the person cllecting said they had no change lol.
Provident even offered me 800 quid to cover me over xmas, which i refused as i aint short of money, just want to rebuild credit.Awaiting Inspiration......................0 -
Because otherwise you'll have trailing interest from previous months. It won't affect you if you pay in full every month before the statement date.
But if you don't and carry a balance over from month 1 to month 2, month 2's statement will have interest on that balance. But if you settle in full by month 2's payment date, you will still have interest to pay in month 3 - which is the interest charged between month 2's statement being issued and you making the payment. Settle in full again after month 3's statement, and there's no interest to roll on.
Effectively, you always need to settle a CC bill in full and on time for two months to make sure the third is interest free. Pay in full and on time every month - no trailing interest, transactions interest-free.
Hope that makes sense (or someone can explain it a bit better!).0 -

I got a Vanquis card four months ago and I'm quite happy with it. Started off with a limit of £250 and this was increased this month to £500. I don't use it every month, but do pay it off in full by direct debit.
I'm hoping to get regular increases every few months to improve my credit rating.
The only thing I don't like is the blank 'cheques' they send me and the offers of a 'doorstep' loan at horrific interest rates.0 -
