They told me 10 -14 days was that what you was told Fawinds??

    Same here, 10-14 days.

I applied two months ago and they turned me down in 48 hours though.

Then I also applied one year ago and it took them 20 days to say no.

I guess it depends on their load of work. Or perhaps they decline some applications as soon as they are reviewed and for other they take some time for additional checks. Who knows.

I remember I read a very good post here explaining their processing methodology.

I am quite sure vanquis auto decline you if you apply any time within the 6 months time period of your previous application, or at least that is what i was told by the vanquis applications team

    Cashback Cashier
I have my card (unused) and the £25 cashback from Quidco, paid last Friday:j I received four cheques from Vanquis on Saturday and they went straight in the shredder. Why do banks continue to send them out?

quick update on my Vanquis app and card etc:

I applied a month ago, got a call the next day, accepted, card posted on the 9th September, made numerous calls, told card was on its way and had to wait until the 23rd before could report it as lost in post. I went away on the 22nd, returned on the 29th, still no card, called them, ordered a new one. Saturday new card arrives, great I think, call up to activate it, was told this was a replacement card for the original the went missing (basically the system didnt pull through the 'flat 6' from my app, so Royal Mail returned as 'not known at this address' - normally this requires you to send in ID to confirm your address, anyway someone realised the error and sent a new card (the one that arrived on Sat)) but as I had already cancelled that account, a new one had already been sent (this could have been avoided if the CSA checked the notes on the account.

So a month on, still no card, no PIN, nothing! Joke!

I have been told it will be here this week, I wont hold my breath!

They do mate but you should then appeal, so say you applied June - then you can appeal anytime upto the end of September using the same data. If you try and appeal after the 12 week kick-out point, then they may search you again in which case it's best to wait the full 6months....

Either way, if you got declined then sorted the problem and so reapplied, then you should appeal that decline using the latest data!
