    Its like eggs....

Ryanair are the Battery Hen egg producers - cheap and easy. Too bad about the poor chickens.

My point ( and I think that of quite a few contributers here ) is that it only costs a few pence more for decent quality that doesn't pursue profit and expansion at the cost of humanity.

So I recommend that we should all go for at least the Barn Eggs - produced with at least a nod to the comfort of the chickens.

Those that can afford the Free Range variety will probably have the best conscience but the deepest pockets....

unblemished safety record? You might want to probe a little deeper into that than just the PR on their website. Reality is that nobody seems to care anymore...unless it happens on their flight of course.

Enlighten us then ? What specific safety breaches are you talking about?

Battery Hens don't have a choice on whether they will be battery range hens or not and of course every one of them would love to be free range before they are slaughtered for our dinner table.

Ryanair cabin crew and pilots DO have a choice -to do the job or not!
It might not be the best job in the world ,paying top dollar, for a cushie number, but how many of us have that? It puts food on the table, a roof over their head and if its done well, opportunities will be there for advancement up the promotion ladder.

What the product (ryanair) gives is EXACTLY what it says on the tin.No-frills point A to point B air travel
They dont try to be EMIRATES or AIR BERLIN
They are what I would from a motley fool point of view call RULE BREAKERS who have definately given your RULE MAKER airlines like BA etc a good kick up the behind. Whether you choose to fly with them or not (and 35 Million did last year-so there are bound to be a some unhappy ones )every one now enjoys cheaper air travel in Europe

well I can think of 3 straight away which are fairly common knowledge in the industry..2 runway excursions and an incident in Rome. All airlines have incidents from time to time They get published on the AAIB website. 'Unblemished' is just more O'leary PR cack.

This programme really was a non-event, and a product of lazy, sensationalist TV.
    I've travelled with Ryanair to:
    Genoa
    Venice
    Rome
Milan (4 times, hols to lakes)
    Pescara
    Sardinia
    Brussels
    Stockholm
    Oslo
    Lubeck
    Poland next month
all for pleasure. All for less than £30 return.
I've also travelled all over Ireland, incluidng 6 weeks running to Dublin.
In all that time there has probably been a total of 10 hours delays, 2 due to air traffic control collapsing whilst stuck on runway at Stansted. Only complaint I could make is that on one occasion we weren't kept informed.

I've also flown with Emirates, BA, Easyjet, bmibaby, Monarch, Thomas Cook, can't remember who else. Ryanair are not the best, but not the worst (e.g. 6 hour flight to Gambia when toilets hadn't been emptied prior to takeof.....). The staff have always been helpful and courteous. If the pilot is happy to fly, I'm happy to fly with him/her. And if there's an emergency you pull on the oxygen mask, and follow the lights to the exit. There's not really much more to say. (There's no room to 'brace' is there!!!!!) And as far as I'm concerned seats that can't recline are far better than allowing other passengers to recline almost onto your lap!

They've given me the opportunity to visit so many places and experience so many things, I'm really grateful to them for this. The world may not be my oyster (far too expensive!), but Europe is my crabstick! So back off!

Pay your money and take your choice - I'll have 4 Ryanair trips to 1 BA any time.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I missed the show, did want to watch. I can quite imagine what was shown and have to say the 'behaviour' shown is highly unlikely to be limited to RyanAir!

I've been reading over the posts and some have irked me a little.. a few being that of negative words towards cabin crew and the fact that they don't speak perfect English. Gah the British pee me off greatly, stop being so ignorant and learn others languages! Why the hell should everyone else learn ours?! Learn some Spanish, French, etc *HugeEyeRoll*

I've never flown with RyanAir, just because my flights have always been allocated to me, I've never had to arrange my own flights before.
I'm not going to say I won't fly with them beause of this, I have no objections with doing so and there is every possiblity that I shall in the future.. there are problems with all airlines I expect.

People are slack and cut corners. I doubt this is exclusive to employees of RA.
    The £2.00 Coin Savers Club = approx £22.00  :j.. The 20p Savers Club = £17.80.

  • Oh well - Just booked my return flight to England with British Airways. Less than £ 97 return and no hidden charges . Booked within a week of travelling. Fast check in ( not 2 hours before ). Full baggage allowance and a meal on the plane. Probably get a smile from the stewardesses.

    It can be done.

    - I don't understand this attitude the British have developed of 'Beggar my neighbour' It seems that we are willing to see other people get stuffed in employment conditions and say ' serves them right' . What a horrible attitude.

RYANAIR FREE ( at last )

Ryanair pilots have some of the highest salaries in the industry! Ok, they work a lot harder for their money, and probably earn a lot less than others per flight, but their Captain's are still taking home almost £100k.
