Would buying a PS3 or Xbox of ebay be the stupidist thing in the world? I have been looking and people are expecting the same price as they are in the shops!

Do you have proof that backs your statement up?

Konami just said it was a PlayStation exclusive and they have no plans to bring it to the XBox 360.

If there were a technical reason it couldn't make it to the XBox 360, I would imagine it's that all the hours and hours of yacking everyone does in it wouldn't fit on a DVD.

I wouldn't personally as neither of them are what you'd call reliable, but hey, it's your money!

I have been looking and people are expecting the same price as they are in the shops!

People go nuts on eBay. I have seen things sell used for more than it costs to buy them new from Amazon.

Providing you make a significant saving and money is that much of an issue, it's fine. But there are inherent risks in that, so buying brand new is always the better option for reasons of security if you can comfortably afford it.

I know! I recently sold a brand new Wii game that went for £2 more than buying from play.com and then there was p&p on top of that where delivered is free on play!

I'd be more confident buying a console from a reputable online store or a shop in the high street, you're not going to get any unpleasant surprises.

I don't have any proof to back that claim up, but it's the sort of deals that go on. Just look at Rockstar getting locked into PS2 exclusivity for a period of time, do you really think they did it just to be nice? Course not.

if it is correct that none of the mentioned games are 1080p and are infact just upscaled by the console then why dont all games just say they are 1080p? surely they would get away with it? are you saying that the console is selective and will only upscale certain games?
do you see what i am saying. if the console set at 1080p upscales all games to 1080p then why does it say on the box for gears of war that it is only 1080i if the console is upscaling it to 1080p?

Donna ~ the basics of upscaling are the same for everything. The bigger the picture the harder the hardware has to work. So its easier to upscale to 720P or 1080i than it is 1080P.
1080P was probably just out of reach for the programmers to upscale to when they made it
