Is there any specific reason you want the elite, it doesn't offer much over the pro bar a larger hard drive..

yeah i know, and also i cant ever imagine getting close to the 60gb hard drive on the pro, it is just i much prefer it in black. I know you can change the case's but that is like £40 or something which pretty much makes it the same price as the elite. I just think that if i was to buy the pro, then i would be always wishing that it was in black so it looked better under the tv and the V+ box! I know that is a little bit silly! :S

Weird, I think the white one looks better.

    Must be my Apple fetish...;)

actually, i have just seen that the pro comes with a removable face plate? is this correct, can they be easily removed? ebay have black face plates for like £2, which would solve my issue! :)
  • At least that's a good reason, unlike the right to brag that some people get one for.
  • so is there absolutely no difference between the pro and elite apart from elite having 120gb hard drive and being in black?

ohhhhhhhhhhhhh i have just seen a pro with a 20gb hard drive. Do they still sell this one?

Thanks anewhope! I think i am now going to go for the pro, so you have saved me £50!

no point spending an extra £50 just for the massive HD and it being in black. That £50 can get me 2 games that i want! :)

I having owned both consoles I would say that if you just want a gaming system get a 360, if you want a gaming system/media hub, get a PS3. My only reason for even saying this is because of price. If the two consoles were similarly priced the PS3 would wipe the floor with the 360.

I've got a PS3 and having used the Xbox I think it's by far the most versatile machine, Playstation home is a good laugh and is getting bigger and having more features added on a frequent basis, plenty of good exclusive games like Killzone 2, I also find it handy having an fully featured web browser for a quick surf - always surprised how noisy the Xbox is.

Apart from all the cheaper XBox 360 games with better graphics and performance than their PS3 counterparts. And the XBox Live service. And of course the ability to stream media from a Media Centre PC.

But apart from all that, it would wipe the floor with it.

The 360 has better graphics than PS3?they're very close but with games like MGS4,Killzone 2 & Motorstorm 2 im not sure how you can justify that comment.

As for online, the ps3 is wicke,it had teething problems to begin with but games like CoD4 and R2 have fixed that.......plus,its free on the ps3!

Finally, the PS3 can stream media wirelessly straight out of the box,we dont have to buy an add on, whats your point?
