That is correct (if you set your console to force an upscale) but if a game is designed to run by the programmers as say 720p then upscaling to 1080 will not necessarily make it look better, infact usually the opposite is true.
I've played the demo of Killzone 2 & even if it is 'only' 720p, imo it is the best looking console game i've ever seen.........

He means that although they play in 720p, the games are actually 650 (Or whatever) and UPSCALED to 720

thats funny because most of my 360 games are 1080p. i only have two that arent and they are over 2 years old.

Don't be fooled by it saying 1080 on the box, that only means that it can be played at that resolution, not native........
What are the games you have.........

off the top of my head, call of duty 4, halo 3, unreal tournament 3, are 3 games that say they are 1080p. gears of war and nhl 07 are the two that arent full hd.

And i believe COD4 runs at 600p native...........

Just another thing that keeps me in the xbox fan club, is that massive files that have to be saved on the HD of the PS3. 10gb for GTA IV!!!! That will soon eat the HD up and require you to upgrade for an extra cost. Yes it is easy to do (if you know how) but it is still extra money on top.

I dont doubt the PS3 is a great console, but as an out and out gamer, the xbox does it for me every time.

i dont know where you got that figure from as GTA IV only takes up 3.3gb on my ps3 hdd.

MGS 4 only takes up 4.4gb and thats one hell of a big game (its on a 50gb blu-ray afaik)

Its also worth saying that the reason MGS4 wasnt ported over to the 360 is because it wouldnt be able to handle it
