    Hi,
I've accidentally booked a flight and selected online check in and I don't have a passport, just driving license.

Will they make me book a new flight at the airport or is there anyway I can change my booking to add it on or pay at the airport the £5 for airport check in?

    Thanks

Maybe I'm wrong but I can't see any option to let you change an existing booking to airport check-in online. This leaves you with 3 options:
    • Call the call centre (NOT the premium rate number - see here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=21107515&postcount=2) and pay by card to change the booking.
    • Pay at the airport - however, you will need to go to the Ryanair desk (not the check-in desk) to pay, and these often have huge queues - so leave plenty of time.
    • The fee for airport check-in is £40 if purchased by phone or at the airport, as opposed to £10 if purchased online. So depending on the cost of the flights it could be cheaper to buy a new flight.

  • We had a trip between 5/Mar and 9/Mar on Raynair to France and were charged 38 pounds for airport checking as we are not uk passport holders. I have submitted refund request to Ryanair and they responded to me via email on 7/Apr that 38 pounds would credit to my credit card within two weeks. But I did not recieve the money yet. What should I do now? Thanks for advice.

How can you accidentally book a flight? Did you accidentally get your credit card out of your wallet and input the details?

If this is for real then i accidentally got married.

Ok, I accidentally booked my flight with online check in rather than airport check in. Apologies for the incorrect grammar.

You may not be British passport holders but that didn't mean you couldn't use on-line checkin as up until recently on-line checkin was available to everyone with a passport issued by an EEA country.

And if you had checked luggage you couldn't use online checkin at all regardless of the passport you used.

So what passports & did you check any luggage?

    Irrelevant.
The OP already said that they were told that the money would be credited back to them, so they must have fallen outside of the requirements for on-line check in.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
  • I am not sure. I think something may be wrong. I have jsut looked at my itinery and the children are def on there as web check in.
