What do I do about checking in? I don't remember selecting any check-in options when booking - I can't remember what the booking process looked like. Presumably the default is online check-in? So, can I now check us both in online for free. Can I still check-in online if I have a hold bag - is there a fee for this? I just went to the online check-in section and I have the option to check us both in. Doesn't seem to be requesting a fee.

Also what do I do with the bag when I get to Stansted? Help!
If the system is allowing you to check in online then that's what it's expecting you to do and that's what you should do. When you get to Stansted simply follow the signs for 'Ryanair bag-drop', put your bag on the belt, and board the flight as usual. Simples.

Wonder if they will do bag drop by flight number at the larger bases? or a general queue system.

OK, that's great, I just checked in and have printed the boarding passes. On each of these it says "1 Cabin Baggage Only". Nowhere on either pass does it mention the hold baggage I have paid for. Is this OK?

Is it on the payment summary in your confirmation e mail from Ryanair?

There's a post above that directly answers this question (no.680). Yes it's ok: they've put that on to remind people that 'one piece of hand luggage' really does mean one and not 'two plus laptop/handbag/sandwich' as most people apparently seem to think it means. The record of your having paid for checked luggage will appear on their computer/manifest as normal, but if you're worried you may want to take a print-out of the confirmation email or something just in case.

I have travelled with Ryan Air many times but always just had handluggage. Travelling next week with hold luggage. Paid everything that I had too, but can I still check in online and bag drop or do I have to use the self-service/check- in desk?

Hi there, can I ask how you manage that? I was thinking about doing this, but didnt think you could take on aerosols, perfums etc.

    Cheers

Simple... Either buy tiny bottles of hairspray and perfume or learn to cope without them for a few days! :D

    Hi,

Myself and my Finacee are flying with Ryanair next week (Friday 22nd May) and i have just seen the news about Ryanair getting rid of their check in desks at the airport and i'm slightly confused about checking in and costs etc. I booked the tickets a couple of months ago and didn't choose online checkin.
Will i still be able to check in at the airport next Friday and how much will it cost me?
    hope someone can help
