My experience in claiming seems to have been a lot less trouble free than some of you although it is not quite all over yet !! I claimed on a Visa TSB Trustcard where PPI was charged between January 1996 and December 2002. So pretty ancient - I do have all the statements - but they didn't request them. The claim was submitted on 9th. May using the standard claim form downloaded from the FOS website. I received a standard letter from them on 24th. June confirming that they were looking into my claim. On 21st August I received a confirmation that they would refund all PPI premiums. They did not quote an amount at this stage but asked for my bank details so that they could pay by credit transfer. On 19th. September they confirmed the amount. I have not yet received the payment but a phone call to them suggests that after issuing the settlement letter, it is taking 8 - 10 weeks before payment is made. The moral - no matter how long ago you were paying PPI - CLAIM CLAIM CLAIM.0

Well, STILL no payment from Lloyds, and so YET ANOTHER email just been sent to Andrea Barry, Ian Hallett etc. THis is now verging on the ridiculous, told settlement figure Mid July, been waiting for money now since it was 'due' into my bank on 15th August. Told them I feel justified in now 'charging' them late payment fees (as I would have been charged if the other way round) of £12 a day......this current total to today is running at £960, and will increase daily until I get paid!!! Not holding out much hope for this, but hey ho, you don't ask, you don't get lol0

Recieved a letter from Lloyds TSB today.........asking me to pay them some money! I will happily pay this once I've cashed the PPI refund cheque that they should have sent me by now.
It's funny how these cowboys expect me to give them money ASAP, whilst taking months to pay back what is owed to me.2018 wins: Hong Kong holiday0 -
Off on a tangent here Thundercat, and nothing to do with PPI or LLoyds, but what is the sealed pot challenge on your profile?????? :-)0

Following on from my earlier posting - can anyone tell me what is the average time span between receiving a settlement offer and actually receiving the cheque/credit transfer ?0

There does not seem to be any pattern on payments timescales, but from what I have seen on here, CC claims and loans that are finished and no longer running, seem to be getting settled sooner then those with running loans. HTH :-)0 -
Thanks for this - my CC is still operational but the claim is for PPI charged between 9 and 15 years ago and for which they will no longer have records.0

If its any help I tried to log into a Halifax cc account earlier and it wouldn't work, they're part of Lloyds are they not? I wouldn't worry, probably just some angry PPI customer hacked them !0
