Lloyds tsb ppi

I have also today received my letter telling me I am unable to claim as I had signed the forms.
My reasons for claiming against Lloyds are
* full time employer who gives me a full benefits package including 7 months sick pay so I never wanted it in the first place but they do not seem to agree that it is possible their branch staff are pushy.
* 3 out of the 4 loans I have taken out with them had PPI - The one I did not take PPI was the only one which I took out online with no hassle from their staff in branch.
They have included the FOS leaflet with their rejection telling me to contact them.
After reading my reasons above does anybody think I have a good case ?
Hi there
Yes I do think you have a good case, I take it that was your final response?
Don't back down hun, mine about these are with the FOS right now, and now just waiting an outcome of this by hopefully the end of this week.
Ring or download a complaint form on the FOS site, and when completed take a few copies, also send a copy to lloyds, tell them you have enclosed a copy for their records and interest, I hear that some have changed their minds, and if that was the case let the FOS know.
Also enclose a copy of your final response from lloyds with the FOS form and any copies of correspondence, good luck.;)

That's great thanks. Yes it was my first and final letter from them. I will send off the complaints form tomorrow and update Lloyds I'm not happy with their outcome and have taken the next step.
Thanks for quick reply0 -

Hi hun
Not a problem,
I'm surprised they did not give you the opportunity to write to them again, especially as that was your first response.
So I assume they have not done this then and just said about the financial ombudsman service ?
Just to make sure in case another opportunity is given.;)
Good luck with this and please keep us posted, cheers XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Yes that's exactly how they have replied. At the end of their letter it says they are unable to help me any further and to read the FOS leaflet.
I will keep you updated, fingers crossed they back down.0 -
Just one more question !
I have also written to Black Horse who haven't even responded at all to say they are looking into it. Do you know if they still exist ?0 -

Hi hun
Sorry I did not get back sooner, I see Masmit has been kind enough to post, (cheers Masmit)......;) .
How long ago did you take out finance with these? (what year)? The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
hi
I just thought I would let you know that I have been trying since January 2008 to reclaim PPI from Lloyds TSB. Their first response wasn't very helpful so I sent my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman. I have had a letter from them today to say that Lloyds have agreed to pay me. I couldn't beleive it after all this time!
keep trying coz it will be worth it in the end.

I have all the paper work in my desk at work but off the top of my head I think they go back to around 5 years ago.
Thanks Sharree for letting me know about your claim, that is a ridiculous amount of time. How can they justify taking this long ? Did they include interest in this payment for the time you have had to wait for their decision ?0 -

Can you let us know on what grounds LLoyds upheld your complaint, I am in the middle of arguing my case with them just now. Told them at the outset that my employer gives us copious amounts of various insurance plans but they weren't interested and basically pushed me into taking the cover out.
thanks
