Yea! :j I know you always lose a lot the first week and I have only 19lbs. to lose and I'm almost half way there----loss of 71/2 lbs.today. Now to keep at it! The only trouble is that I go to London tonight and the family will be feeding me up!

I don't yet hav weighing scales at uni, so I won't be able to chart my weight loss regularly, which is probably goin to be a motivation issue, better find some cheap ones sharpish!
Would the University Health Centre be prepared to weigh you each week? I know it might be a bit of a faff going there, but a) it will stop you obsessing and hopping on them every five minutes and b) there'll be someone there to say "Well done!"

Also, rather than just weighing yourself it can be as good to measure yourself. You don't lose inches as fast as you lose lbs, BUT longterm it does fall off.

Welcome back Ally, know what you mean about Life getting in the way. I'm all up and down again, but I think going down, and I didn't gain even when I was away over half-term. Enjoy your holiday nearlyrich. (Good job this discussion didn't happen a couple of weeks ago or I'd have suspected your DH of being my photocopier engineer! When I tried to phone HIM his colleague was so ticked off that the chap I wanted was in NZ until the end of Feb that she gave me his boss's phone no., who I am quite sure is usually far too important to talk to customers, but I got results!)

thats a good idea savvysue thank you - (sorry im not sure how to insert quotes yet!!) just have to try and work out where the uni health centre is :o
may also burn more calories walking to and from health centre than if the scales were in my room :j
