I'm 11st 10 and should be 9st 7lb or thereabouts, so have roughly 2 and a half stone to lose. Mind if I join you?
I'm not following any strict diet - just the Paul McKenna approach (worked for me in the past) and the gym every day (my firm has a free gym with some good equipment in it).
I hate being this weight. I only have 2 pairs of jeans that fit me and I feel fat and miserable.
Ooh that rings a bell - I've just lost 5lb this week (first week of diet) and am now 11st 4lb. my target is about 9st 7lb too, 9st if I can.
I've just found this thread too :T0 -
Jane, welcome
Who makes the icepops or are they homemade from sugar free juice? If homemade, I would say they were free as sugar free drink are syn free
Piptiddlepip and abijanzo, welcome to you both too, this thread is great for support.
I've lost 1/2lb short of a stone in 6 weeks with another to go on the SW plan, so yes you can do it if you stay positive and motivated.
Set small tragets for yourselves and aim to keep to them - Good Luck
If I've missed anyone who's recently joined us, please forgive me as I've not been around for a few days but welcome to you too.
The big weigh in tomorrow - will she have lost 1/2lb to make the stone or 2 1/2lb to make the club 10 target?
All will be revealed...
...either way I get a sticker!!!I haven't got one!0 -
hello all
had my starting weigh in on saturday during a trip home, got my starting weight, which im not quite ready to post, 2lb higher than I thought, and gives me a nice round 3stone to lose.
My full steam ahead begins on wednesday (1st day of the month and all of that) thank you to everyone for all of the advice I've received so far.
Just a teeny question, whats a club 10?! As a none SW member, its been baffling me for a few posts now!

Firstly Good Luck!
Secondly, Club 10 is an award you get when you've lost 10% of your weight - there are a lot of health benefits to be had by losing just 10% of your weight if you are overweight such as reduced strain on joints etc. Its usual a good base to set your first target to.
Its easy to work out, just convert your stones to pounds and divide by 10.
They give the following example:
if you weigh 15st 7lb
* Multiply the 15 stones by 14 = 210lbs plus the 7lbs = 217
* Divide by 10 = 21.7lbs
* Rounds up to 22lbs
* So to lose 22lbs your Club 10 target would be 13st 13lbs0 -
Got my weigh in at 9.45 this morning so just trying to see how many times I can pop to the loo between now and then - regular Tuesday thing now!
Welcome to the newbies - all of you, I've only been on this thread a couple of weeks or so but have found it really helpful.0 -
Good news! I weighed early yesterday (was going to wait until Friday, but couldn't wait!) - I've shed my first pound. So I'm now 11st 9lb and quite pleased with that.
Now all I have to do is stay off the chocolate cake and not put it back on...I've promised myself a day out at my favourite cheesy seaside place if I hit 11st 7lb in the next week and a half! (I know this great place which still has those old fashioned penny falls, you can play all day for about three quid!)Debt Free Nerd #3100 -
Well done Piptiddlepip, but you should weigh yourself just once a week as things can change (for the worse) on a day to day basis too.
I've lost 1lb this week so I got my 1st stone award. 1 1/2 lb to lose for my club 10 for next week - MOTIVATIONI haven't got one!0 -
have registered at the SW website, so I can aim for my own club 10 now :money:
congratulations piptiddlepip, and also cheekymole (i'v been wondering all morning how you got on!) congratulations on getting so far, and on your motivation! :j
good luck to all

I lost 1/2lb this week. Better than nothing (I think!). I just keep thinking of the Peter Kaye sketch: 'Half a pound? Half a pound? I can [poo!] half a pound!'
Congratulations Cheekymole and piptiddlepip!0
