I lost 1/2lb this week. Better than nothing (I think!). I just keep thinking of the Peter Kaye sketch: 'Half a pound? Half a pound? I can [poo!] half a pound!'

    Congratulations Cheekymole and piptiddlepip!

    Hi Girls
Just got back from the nurse. Her scales weigh heavier than mine which is a shame but hey it's the weight loss which counts. She said that after 12 weeks most people hit a stop in their weight loss & that that is quite normal, she said if you can maintain or even lose during the next 12 weeks thats great and that after that the weight should start coming off again. I was sad but glad to hear that because at least I am forewarned and it has always been during that second 12 weeks that I have given up before. So I wanted to post what she had said to encourage any one who is in that 12-24 week period. Stick with it and you will see results.
I told her about SW healthy chips and she is going to try them tonight!!
    Good luck this week everyone.

betty, how nice, thank you very much.

jane, I can't see why they wouldn't be syn free if they are nil calories, what is the carb value and the carb that sugars?

I heard that 20 calories=1 syn as a rough guide

oooops!! was looking at wrong ones the asda ones have 15 cals and 7g carbs 7g of which sugars, its the co-op ones that are sugar free and i taken them out of the box to make room....will check next time i go in.

maybe i should just make my own to be on the safe side for now!

i also bought loads of fruit to make smoothies but the SW rep said that you could'nt have them as free.

any other ideas i can do with fruit othe other than just having it raw.

is there a book (like weightwatchers have) with SW for branded foods like ready meals, pasta sauces etc...

    thanx

there are books but you can just check on the SW website - syns online.

You could cut you fruit up into a fruit salad type thing and then cover with sugar free jelly?

or if you've got pears, poach them in the microwave with some sweetener on top and serve with a yogurt
