honey, don't worry it's only a problem if it causes you to stop trying alltogether, and it hasn't :) that little gain will come off easily if you're so determined

There's always next week, honey. You said you were giving the choc fudge cake away!!!!! - what happened?
Stay motivated this week and send me some of your quorn chilli!

i know! I made one for Oh which I "helped" him eat. I have to make another one or two this week - they will be dispatched asap!
The quorn chilli was lovely, all free on a green day. Have some left for lunch tomorrow at work. Made leek and potato soup, just the stock cubes as syns on green i think

I am motivated... I will lose weight this week ... I am motivated.... :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Thanks for the support !
  • Hi honey28
making 3 choc fudge cakes is a lot of temptation ! stay strong and you will have a good loss next week.
treat yourself to some special fruit - raspberries, mangoes ? - so you have something nice and healthy while they chow down the cake.
  • sorry you didn't have a great week, but hang in there and the weight will come off.

have a look at the WW.co.uk community forum for recipes, they may be easily traslatable into SW ?

have you tried petits pois instead of peas?

Thanks to blue-kat and all the others for the words of support. I am trying to focus on 1/2 stone at a time. I've just weighed and there is no progress this week I am the same as last week BUT I did have a really bad week - family Chinese meal out on Thursday, lunch out whilst car shopping on Saturday (good job I wasn't driven to drink as well) and as we were so late back after car shopping we had fish & chips. After a month of a low fat food plan my stomach was cramping and upset all day yesterday...serves me right!! Old habits die hard and F&C has always been our quickie standby. I have thought about this and have now put a pkt of pasta and a nice LF sauce/ jar of Pesto in a special place for emergency use. It would actually be quicker to cook and serve the pasta than to go to the chippy.

MinnieSpender that site sounds good so I will have a look. Thanks.

Is there a receipe section anywhere? I don't eat tomatoes/peppers but lots of the SW receipes are full of these. I'd be interested in an alternative to "Add a tin of chopped tomatoes" heehee I am such a fuss pot with my veg my nan who looked after me after school never made me eat my veg and that has left me with this problem, I have got better over the years but peas are still a no no no too.

Here's hoping for a good week for everyone.

    Hi

would like to be a loser!

I am the heaviest I have ever been and at 46 despair of losing anything. I can't even exercise without getting out of breath or palpitations - just been for an ECG as well.

I have lost before with SW - over 3 stone actually, but put all of that back on with interest and then some more. For various reasons, I cannot join the local group, but came across this thread. Do I need to do anything else?

thansk and look forward to swapping ideas etc with you all

    Hello

I too am a newbie. I had my baby daughter 3 months ago, and since I had the little one, I lost the big bump, but none of the weight! so I'm still ahem, 12 stone, when my original weight was 10st. weirdly enough i can fit back into my old jeans, but my body shape has totally changed from a pear shape to a podgey apple!! so although i can wear my jeans, they dont fit properly anymore!!

my aim is to lose 2 st, and possibly tone up. as im a breast feeding mum, i cant change my diet too dramatically too quickly, nor can i exercise too quickly as the lactic acid can move into breast milk making it bitter. recently ive stopped eating crisps and chocalates, snacking on dried apricots, yoghurts and fruit. i even signed up for a once a week body pump class at the gym.

what id really like to do is turn up at university in september after my baby year out, looking perfect, toned and the same, if not slimmer, than before baby. is it unrealistic to lose 2stone before september?

I can't even exercise without getting out of breath or palpitations - just been for an ECG as well.

So do what you can do and don't worry about the rest - your body will gradually adapt.

When I first started running, I could not run a minute without thinking I was going to have a heart attack. Now I just sprint away for half hour or so. I increased my time by about a minute each week. Over time, I adapted, and have managed to build up a lot more stamina.

So even if you can only do five minutes this week, know that next week you'll probably be able to a little bit more and on and on; it really is worth perservering for long term rewards.

Well I didn't manage my stone but did lose 2.5lbs and got slimmer of the week for the 2nd week running!

Can I lose 2.5lbs by next week to get to my club 10?
If not I'm sure I will lose 1/2 lb to get to my stone.

Good luck everyone for the coming week

Cheekymole, its obviously the week for losing 2.5lbs as I did too! That takes me to just over 1/2 stone at 7.5lbs. However, the woman who weighs wrote it down wrong so I thought I'd only lost 6.5lbs, it was only when I filled it in the SW internet site I realised the mistake - I was straight on the phone to my consultant!

Oh, and welcome to Jan and karnam
