  • Hi blue-monkey. I,m doing the lowcarb diet so if you'd like to pm me feel welcome-or anyone else on lowcarb come to that. It's working for me-slowly but surely. I only look at a piece of bread and the weight piles on so I know the feeling!

Although I am doing SW I have almost cut bread from my diet, although I love the taste of crusty white bread, it is responsible for making me really ill (my daily lunch used to involve sandwiches after toast for breakfast) I now eat very little bread, maybe 4 slices a week and it's 400g wholemeal.

It's a bit of a challenge finding altenatives as I spend most of my day in the car driving between appointments and the butty shop is easy ;)

  • Hi

I would like to join in please, I have put a LOT of weight on over the past few years due to comfort eating after a bereavement. Anyway, I have decided its about time I got things back on track and have for the past few weeks, cutting down on the crap and trying to eat more healthily, (not dieting as such) anyway, I have lost a stone, which I am delighted with and i'm now keen to carry this on, so I can be more comfortable in my own skin.

I have a lot to lose, but I am going to work a stone at a time, at least then its doesn't look unachievable to me.

    Good luck everyone x

    Hi blue-kat

Yes I did reward myself with an indian head massage on friday morning. My company had a therapist in for the day only thing was my slot was at 9.30am so I looked a right mess for the rest of the day with coconut oil in my hair.
I am trying to do something special for each 1/2 stone ,something that I would not normally do ,so far I've had a manicure ,a pedicure,my eyelashes dyed and now a head massage.

When I've lost weight before I used to have food treats but now I know that as much as I enjoy them at the time I can't say no and one sweet will lead to the whole packet so I try not to.

    Thanks for your encouragement

Well done on losing a stone Mrs Bojangles.FANTASTIC !
it's vital to break it up into smaller challenges, otherwise being in the long haul just looks too daunting.

    Hi Glad
1/2 off is an awful lot better than a 1/2 on !
it's going in the right direction, hang in there and you'll still get there.

I suppose calories from cough sweets could add up quite quickly seeing as they are high sugar.

    get well soon !

bit dissapointed as I've done loads of exercising
all I can think of is the amount of cough and throat sweets I've eaten this week :(
