quote - We have had this before and in this particular pub it can be a bit hit and miss, but we took the risk. quote.
Says it all , really, doesn't it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Not all Wetherspoons are like this. We went to one by the River in Lincoln, I ordered a curry as it was advertised to be told the deal did not start till 3PM. (I missed the small print) However the young(well to me she was) lady behind the bar went and got a page from a magazine full of Wetherspoons offers and said we could use the coupons. Been back since and each time had a good cheap meal/snack.0

The staff at my local Wetherspoons are usually alright, but for a beer and burger i don't expect top notch service. Maybe it depends on the branch but the staff at mine are usually rushed off their feet during the busy times and they have never asked if my food was alright, i don't expect them too ask either; i think you're expecting too much if you want that kind of service.
As for the phantom tomatoe again it's Wetherspoons, once i received a cold cottage pie, i just left it and didn't bother to complain since i'm worried they might just gob at it in the kitchen.......But i think you can write and complain about the staff member who was hackling you.0 -

If they had served up this up to me, I would had given the serving wench a stiff good sorting out, tomato or no tomato.
Muppet Food and with Valentines day coming, my Bird would not want to even go down the same street as the Weatherspin Drinking warehouse. (Current Lady Freda Excluded)If tomatoes weren't on the delivery for some reason (possibly snow) then the staff wouldn't have been allowed to source them elsewhere. Common practise at most low priced food outlets where prices margins are very tight.
My local weathers!!!! sources its chips veg etc from the bargain aisle of the local supermarket.0 -

pmsl freddie I give up :rotfl:
The only weatherspoons I ever ate at was the one in Llandudno in the converted theatre, and that was more about appreciating the building than the food0 -
the frozen bun is not on but if i went in weatherspoons and they gave me a burger with salad and no tomato or red onion i would be happy, i cant stand tomato and red onion gives me heartburn which is why i havent taken part in this offer so far.
i would have raised the issue at the time, if something isnt right tell the waiting staff or the supervisor at the time, when i worked in a pub i made sure the kitchen staff sorted these things out (as much as certain ones hated me for it) and if you cant for any reason then get in touch with hq.
btw if you are male and under 6' then dont expect to get served at peak times in a weatherspoons  i'm 5'9'' and its a ballache
if you dont get satisfaction then dont go backthings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok
