jnm21 wrote:Recorded delivery (I believe this used to co-exist with registered) covers you for £32 for lost/damaged items (I believe this is the case since the actual wording the last time I looked was the value of 100 1st class stamps). It does not "prove" delivery - it does make false claims of non-delivery less likely. As far as I know there is no added security & some feel that it is an expensive way of making letters more interesting to thieves.
Interesting, however surely a thief would realise that all that is in the envelope for a cashback claim is some airtime bills and a voucher (ie no intrinsic value to them)?
I'm going to go for a Motorola L7 on O2, free for 12 months on the same length contract.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -

gman wrote:Hello, i signed up for mobile rainbow in November and the original deal was i had to fax my 6th and 12th mobile bill to them. I now have my 6th bill but have been reading about the cashback vouchers on this forum which i dont have and have never been notified of them.
I have rang mobile rainbow for the vouchers last week but have never received them, if i dont have a voucher does that mean i carnt claim cashback?
Thanks
I also signed up in November and now I am due to fax my 6th bill to Msols. Do you need to fax off the whole bill or just the front sheet which states Name, talk plan etc.
Thanks.0 -
I just faxed the front sheet of my 6th bill today, I will ring them later to find out if they received and when I should get payment.
Fingers crossed all goes well0 -
My contract started on 1st Nov, so when I received my April 06 bill, I have posted by recorded delivery THE WHOLE OF THE BILL, ORIGINAL and kept a photocopy at home. I received an email dated 12th April, saying that the cashback due will be credited to my account by 12th May 06. I, like many of you was very dubious with this company but have taken the chance. It is fast approaching 12th May and the cashback is not in my account yet. I know the vouchers are not applicable to me as when I signed up, the cashback was clear at the outset, that I would receive this in my account...so 4 days remaining and stil counting....
PS - I have to send my 6th and 12th month bill to claim £260 cashback in total
Has anyone ACTUALLY RECEIVED their cashback in their account? Surely I am not the first and ONLY "MUG" who signed up to these people in Nov 05?!0 -
Haven't read whole thread, so this may be mentioned alread... but be aware that their cashback T&Cs state that they will only pay cashback to the original address registered... so if you move house at all in the year you will lose cashback. If you move house in the first 6 months you won't get ANY cashback!!
Shouldn't be a problem for those that own houses.. but us renters might want to watch out...stay lucky!

I have a 12 month contract with mobile rainbow with a nokia 6680, my girl friend also has the same package. The package itself is great, phone is fantastic and the deal is unmatched anywhere. Beware though!
I am still waiting for my cashback from February, my girlfriends was also 2 months late.
Mobile rainbows customer service is worse than crap, I have phoned them several times and they either won't answer or cut me off. I have e-mailed them with no reply several times.
They phoned yesterday whilst I was at work after I tried to contact them again and I'm waiting for them to ring back tonight but I will not hold my breath.
THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY WITH CASHBACK!!!! DO NOT RISK LOSING YOUR MONEY BECAUSE OF A SEEMINGLY GOOD DEAL.0 -
Oh dear!!! I am due cashback by 12th May but reading the last post, its looks like I will not get it straightaway. I too have the Nokia 6680 and an excellent deal at the time on 3 network, talk and text 900. If I get the cashabck it works at about £13.50 per month on a 12 month contract...The last poster - is there anyhting we can do from a legal point?0
