New Info On Mobile Rainbow (merged)

Well I have just spent about 15 mins on the phone asking where my phone is. I had a call from MR last Friday saying it would be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery within 4 days, they now say the phone was out of stock but -shock- they have it in their warehouse now and it should be sent out within a few days.

As I have asked to port my number, I am concerned that I will not get any cash back.

Should I cancel before they send the phone to me?

Ordered W800i thru Mobile rainbow 2 weeks ago.They called to confirm details and say that the phone will be with me in a day or two. No phone for 2 weeks! No replies at all to my emails. Got fed up and called them to be only told that the phone was out of stock and it would be some wait. They did not have the courtesy to call and let me know. Cancelled the phone! I would definately not deal with them again as they are completely unreliable.

My cashback was due by 6th May. After many calls, I sent a recorded delivery letter saying I intended to sue via Small Claims Court....the money was in my bank within 4 days!

And, by the way, I also ported my old number, and had no-one saying that this ruled out cashback.

hi zarjaz...just 2 confirm they'd deposited the money into your bank acct direct did they? they didn't send a cheque like most other retailers do?

Can I just say thanks to the OP ChrisJ for going to the trouble of typing out the entire contents of his letter from MR.

Was going to go with them but some very worrying posts here!

Just wanted to let people know, I faxed my 6th bill to mobilerainbow on the 8th of May and I received my first cashback direct into my bank account on the 21st June.
