Out of curiosity, where did you get this information from? I can't help but feel a little suspicious.

Arent they based in Watford ? Has anyone been round to pay them a visit ?
Its clear we are all going to lose out here (me to the tune of about £375 cashback)
How do 3 usually react when you ring up to tell them that one of their "approved dealers" has stung you ? Do you have any grounds for compensation from them ?0 -

Given that some people (see this thread for examples) have got their moneyback, why is it clear that you are all going to lose yours?
We've just taken out a new contract with them and given that they have an address in Watford (less than 1 hour from my home) and I had seen that they do pay out, I was prepared to take that chance. If I found the need to go to Watford, I'd pass on what I found (probably just a letterbox!)

I always apply the logic that "the simplest explanation is usually the accurate one".
So - either all of Msols phone lines have gone down simultaneously and they are just having a few problems which co-incides with them being due to pay out many cashback claims from the contracts taken out during Feb......
OR
They have ripped everyone off, myself included and have shut up shop...
I know which one sounds most likely to me - having heard nothing from them in relation to my cashback for the last 5 weeks Im not expecting to see the money. I will pursue it through small claims etc if necessary but being realistic I dont hold out much hope of seeing my £375 cashback......0 -
Hi guys
Just to update you I faxed my 6month bill to them and was told I would receive teh cashback in my account by the 27th - it is now the 30th!
I have tried phoning but have had similar results as above - Either the line is disconnected or I get a engaged tone.
ANy ideas guys - has anyone tried email and had a response?

One word to describe mobile rainbow: Lame.
My girlfriends 6 month cash back was sent of mid july. Now late august it's 2 weeks overdue. I called them to ask about this and some nervous indian guy told me the cashback computer systems were suffering problems after an upgrade. When i asked when she would get the money: "we'll call you back in a few days about that". I asked to speak to his supervisor: "sorry, i cant transfer calls". Basically, everything question led to silence, or a weak answer (probably lies).
Anyway, told him to make sure someone with some authority calls back by this afternoon, or i would issue court proceedings.... no calls, so small claims court it is then!
Anyway, annoyed about them treating me like a muppet, i've decided to complain about their contract to the OFT. I'm sure you'll all agree that the terms of mobile rainbows cashback are so deliberatly stacked against a consumer getting cashback, with the intention that most people dont claim the cashback, that they are unfair. Thanks to "The Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999", the oft can take out an injunction against them through the courts. Similarly, if the terms are ruled unfair, they are non-binding, and therefore, if you have not quite managed to follow their complicated rules of claiming cashback, you could probably still claim the money back through the courts. Anyway, at the least i would encourage anyone displeased with MSOLS/Mobile rainbow to complain to the OFT or trading standards about their appaling business practices. I certainly shall be, as well as sueing them for the entire cashback in one lump due to breach of their own contract! The oft contact details are available on: http://www.oft.gov.uk/Consumer/Unfair+terms+in+contracts/who+to+contact.htm0
