No, nothing as yet. Following on from their first email (which advised that i should be credited on 12th May), I sent a response saying that I heard bad press about them paying their cashback, and that they should credit my account as soon as poss or I'll report them to trading standards... In response I got:
"This is to inform you that the 1st installment of your cash back amount will be transferred into your bank account by 12th May and you can expect the amount to be credited in your bank account within the next 2-3 working days.
For further queries, please write to us or call us on 0808 160 0027 or 0800 097 3651 and we will be glad to assist you."
I'll wait until Thurs, and if I haven't received it by then, I'll be taking further steps0 -
thanks n good luck!0

Sent off my first 6 months invoices 5th April. Got email saying I'd have refund by 5th May in my bank. Nothing has arrived. Emailed, with no reply.
Called many times before got connected to an operator. The guy took my details...and then put me on hold while he checked with the "other department". Eventually he came back to say someone would look into this...no time frame given. Not very confident.0 -
hi all, new to the site and after some advice.
Not sure if I have got the best deal -
SE k750i, 12 month contract with o2
12 months free line rental
200 x-network mins and 100 texts.
redemption after 6, 9 and 12 months.
Has not been delivered yet, should get it early next week and they say there is a 14 day cooling off period.
Anyone had any good or bad experiences with Rainbow? Wish i could have found this site last week!

Thanks - getting a bit worried now about getting the cash back. Not too sure what to do....0

hi clareski, don't mean to be alarmist...but check their T&C's --> i think there's a £20 fee involved if you return the phone+contract during the 14-day cooling off period
i'd ordered my phone thru Mobile Rainbow about 5months back....they delivered both the phone and cashback vouchers as promised, but its still too early to say RE: cashback itself. anyway, hope everything works out for you0 -
 I took out my contract in Sept last year. I am in arguements with them at the moment regarding my cashback. The CS is complete and utter !!!!e as you can hardly understand those indian callcentres! Dont get me wrong, I am not racist at all and I completely hate racists but I cannot understand why, appart from the cost benefit, do these companies transfer their call centres to india!
I sent my march bill although they say that the bill must be February's bill? Can someone confirm with me what billing month should be sent off?
My understanding is that the first bill is in Oct so therefore the sixth bill is March right?
I rang the CS today and the lady told me that I am not eligible to claim cash back because I ported my number over???? WHERE THE HELL IS THIS ON MY T&C??? I argued with her and in the end she said that she will confirm with 3 that I am still with them (even though I sent the bill which has 3 on it! ) and someone will get back to me within 24hrs. Lets see what happens0 -
I got an email from them asking me to confirm I ported my number. BUT, on this email they also told me the cash would be in my bank by 2nd May.
Just off phone with them...now they say there is a problem with their computers that prevented cashback payments going through. Very dodgy sounding.
I don't hold out much hope, frankly. :mad:0 -
I have sent them the following email below.
To Customer Services at Mobile Rainbow,
Despite your numerous emails, the last dated 17th May in which you advise the cashback has been transferred to my account, this money still does not appear on my account. As I explained before, I have had several negative feedback about your Company with paying cashback. My cashback was due to me withing 28 days of sending my 6th bill, which was supposed to be by 12th May 2006. You are now 10 days overdue to make this payment.
Under the above circumstances, I am today contacting the Trading Standards Office and will be taking further action via Small Courts for compensation against your Company and to recover the FULL cashback due to me for the year of £260. I understand that you will be hearing from a representative from Trading Standards in the next 7 days.
CAN ANYONE ADVISE WHAT STEPS I CAN REALLY TAKE? I HAD TO INTENTION OF BUYING A PHONE FROM THIS COMPANY AT FIRST BUT I GOT IT BECAUSE OF THE GOOD DEAL. THIS IS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE FOR ME AS I HAD BEEN WITH T-MOBILE FOR 12 YEARS AND ONLY JUST MOVED NETWORK AND NOW HAVE THIS PROBLEM. I REALLY WANT MY CASHBACK DUE, AND I DONT PLAN TO LEAVE IT ALONE. I SEE THEIR OFFICES ARE INWATFORD, DO YOU THINK ITS WORTHWHILE TURNING UP THERE AS I LIVE IN LONDON NOT FAR FROM WATFORD?:mad:0
