Seems common with Mobile Rainbow lying about speaking to the "concerned department" and saying that I'll have the cashback in my account within the next 7-10 working days. After this period, and making another phone call, they say that there has been a problem with the cashbacks and to wait a further 7-10 working days and promise that they'll pay it. After no sign, and further calls, they told me that the cheque was in the post, and can take 3-5 working days. I argued why the reps previously told me the money was going directly into my account, and why was the cheque sent to me, and they said that its a change in the policy.
Obviously, no sign of the cheque and several days later, another phone call with the same promises. It's as though MobileRainbow staff have a transcript to say. I've been with them for 2years, and although their customer service is next to useless, they do pay up... after a LONG time!
Have got a contract with them currently running, and will be submitting my claim next month for the 1st cashback (month 6). Will give them 30-45days to pay up, otherwise I am definately taking them to court via small claims court! I've had enough of them lying....
they have a price match policy and I bought my contract with them (9months free) and wanted them to price-match to a 12months free tariff. They told me first that I have to buy the contract, and then put it in writing via email of the order ref, and they'll price-match it. They came back to me after 3months, telling me the company I wanted to price-match it against had gone bust... Ummm, no, they are still running! Made the guy check the website and he apologised for not checking. Duh! He then told me that the offer wasn't showing on the website, so he couldn't price-match... ummm, you can't expect the same offer to be on after 3months! Told him it ain't MY fault that it's taken MobileRainbow 3months to get round to checking the price-match!!!
So in summary, when I'm due to submit my first claim, will expect the pro-rate 12months free cashback within 30-45days. If they fail, will definately be submitting a claim on day 46 via online small claims court for the FULL 12months cashback, and I won't be prepared to budge either.
For those of you facing problems with MobileRainbow, just sue them!0 -

hi i posted a few weeks earlier, however i rang them last tuesday they promised that they would have my first cashback claim to me by cheque, today and it's still not here. So I don't know what I should do?should I send them a letter telling them that i will start court procedings against them or should i wait till my second cashback is due, which i sent to them last month?
i would really appreciate any advice from pep who've managed to get somne cashback back from them.I would say to anybody even considering using mobile rainbow in future to not bother- they will do any thing to get out paying you what is owed to you.0 -
Hi Spongebob
I hammered them everyday with phonecalls (using free phone number) and then sent a very stern, formal email, followed up by with another a few days later. I gave them a deadline to meet (which they didn't) so I said they had just a few more days or I would start proceedings through HM Courts using the online claims website. I also said I would be claiming all future cashback amounts plus costs, as they had, effectively, broken their side of our contract. Eventually, they said it would be in my bank account by last Fri and, low and behold, it was. Whether this was a fluke or not remains to be seen as I have sent in my second claim and they have verified it and said it will be paid within the next 45 working days - no way I said to them as it just says within 45 days in their T&Cs. I kept quoting the T&Cs in all of my emails.
I hope you get a result as it's what you signed up for and are entitled to. Best of luck and make sure you warn everyone else off this company as I have been doing.
Kind regards

I have today tried to contact mobile rainbow and MSols Limited to follow up non payment of cashback which is long overdue but none of their phones or web sites appear to be working. Does anyone know if they are still in business. Also tried to go through quidco to the sales site but that did not respond.0

The only thing Mobile Rainbow understand is the form of the small claims court. Do not waste YOUR time trying to contact them, send letter recorded and signed for stating if money not received by ... date small claim court procedure will be started (you might as well start it straight away as you wont have any luck).
Why wasting time if you can do claims form online? Worked for me on two occasions, learnt my lessons, NEVER EVER again, thank you very much.0 -
Try 0808-178-6902 as this is the number I got thru on.0

Have just got them to call me back and payment was ment to be paid friday and they agreed on Friday they would pay - still no payment so spoke to them and they said payment would leave today. I dont believe them so will make a court claim against them online. Not prepared to wait like the last claim that took 68 days of chasing and chasing. Not doing that this time will just go straight for court claim.
Has anyone had any luck with court action against them0
