Thanks for all the advice regarding MobileRainbow-having jumped through all the hoops, I'm now also in the position of having to go through the online court system. Does anyone know which address I should include-is it their MSOLS Watford address-just that I've seen Northampton mentioned a few times in this thread.
Many thanks
Graham
Hi Graham, welcome to the site, It's gone very quiet on this forum against M.R. maybe people are not using them as much or are they wising up and going to court online but not posting their results.
Anyway the information on Mobile Rainbow that you require is on the companies house website which for you and anybody else who requires it is:-
M Sols Ltd
11 Parade House
135 The Parade
High Street
Watford
Hertfordshire
WD17 1NA
Additional information is their registered company number which is :-
04174036
Good luck in your claim and let this forum know your progress.
It is because of forums like this that myself and other people get the confidence to take companies like Mobile Rainbow to court to get what is rightfully theirs.
Once again good luck :beer:0 -
Hi again
Thanks for the info. 17 days after my final warning (7 days given) I received my obligatory 'payment will be made in 7 days' email from Customer Services. After all this time, I can wait another 7 days before pressing the 'Send' button on Moneyclaim! At least it shows I've given them every possible opportunity. I emailed back to make the point that it's not worth messing around with me any more so I hope they take the point and pay up. If they don't, my claim is all waiting to go!
Can back up comment regarding other people's help-I didn't even know about Moneyclaim, or the importance of sending documents by Special Delivery. I have also phoned then up when I send it on 11th July, and was told that their BACS system had been out of action and so they were sending cheques instead. Without reading everyone else's story, I probably would have accepted these excuses and eventually given up!
Will keep the forum posted.

I have had a very heated phone call with Mobile rainbow today and am very angry and dissapointed. I took out a 12 month deal with Mobile Rainbow which included 12 months cash backline rental.
I sent my first 6 month bills to them and received nothing for 8 weeks so I gave them a call, 15 minutes later after being on hold and some time trying to prove who I was, they promised to pay the monies into my account within in 15-20 days.
Nothing happened. So I called again, long time on hold, apologies for not getting my cash back and again promised monies in 15-20 days. 4 months later after sending in my bills I received a cheque for £120 in the post.
When I discussed what I had to do to get my cash back at the beginning I was explicitly told to send in 1-6 month bills, then 7/8, 9/10, 11/12. I even received a photo-copied cash back voucher sheet which I have now been told was incorrectly sent. So how come I only got £120? I make 6 times £30 line rental £180?
Another phone call and I spoke to a very unhelpful stern lady who told me I had done it all wrong! As I bought my phone in October I was meant to send in 1-6, 7-9, and 10-12. When I did this I would receive £120 each time.
At the beginning of June I sent in my 7 and 8 bills and not the 9. As I did not send in the 9th I will not get my cash back. That means I have lost £120! I bought this package for the very reason that I do not have the money for the line rental!
Cash back seems to be some sort of gambling game, if you slip up you loose.
Be aware anyone who buys these deals, you will not be told exactly what to do as I am sure they make it as difficult a possible so as not to pay up.
I will be going back to pay as you go in October.0 -
rockies_guide, follow the instructions you were given at the time of taking out your contract, and you shall get your cashback.
If you have documentary evidence to back what you say up, it will be a formality in court to get them to cough up.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -

Sorry, but what did you expect? Anyone who doesn't take very careful care to get the written t&c (at least!) before entering into ANY cashback deal can't complain too much when they don't know the rules of the game to start with. I don't have any time for this company, but if I were to buy from them I'd certainly know exactly what the requirements were beforehand. Only 14 days to claim from the date of each bill (just one example in this case) and even a cursory check on these forums would tell anyone who opened their eyes what they were up against. Many companies' t&c SOUND easy but aren't IF you read very carefully. I've had about 10 contracts (ALL free) and got another 10 for friends and family and we haven't lost a cashback yet. But then I have taken great care to know in advance what I'm doing and far too many people don't - which is why they pay for those of us who do!0 -
They told me they sent me an email in April to tell me what I should do, I bought the phone in October. I am dam sure I did not receive such an email. I do not have evidence that I spoke to them last year after getting my phone. They do have a log of my phone call in April and June. They also have evidence of when they received my bills. When I called in April I asked if I needed to include any such voucher and they said no. I sent the front sheet of my bill registered delivery each time. They did say if I send my 10, 11 and 12 bills I would be able to claim the final £120.
I am afraid that I do not have enough written evidence to make a claim. I am going to write to the complaint departments but I fear I will not get a response or any resolution. They sure as hell will not want to cough up the money if they can help it. I asked if I could speak to anyone else and they said there was only one number, you can't even speak to a manager or the complaints department. I am sure that the call centre is in India or manned by the owners family. Please be aware that I meant no racist accusation.0 -
ALL that is pretty usual with most of these companies. Rule one (for EVERYBODY!!!) - ALWAYS copy the t&c which ARE on the website AT THE TIME YOU ORDER THE PHONE! Rule two - make absolutley certain you fully understand them. Rule three - DON'T rely on or believe anything they tell you orally; much of it is wrong.
Many of the basic questions on here all go back to those three things - the first two in particular. A lesson for ALL.0 -
In reply to mobile junkie, I did read the T&C very carefully, and even followed up with a telephone call to confirm EXACTLY what I had to do. I am not a mug and am very careful with the deals I take up. It is Mobile Rainbow that for some reason changed their policy two months after I took up the offer which confused not just me, but the people in their call centre as they advised me wrongly.0

rockies_guide, do you have the cashback vouchers you were "Mistakenly" sent?
If you do, then use this as the reason you were confused by their terms and conditions.
Let them follow your lead, dancing to their beat will not work.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
