  • Hello,

I bought a blackberry at mobile rainbow and after 1 week, I still did not receive it.

I have called them lots of times, and got through just 3 times, the answer they gave me is always the same: it will be delivery in 2 working days!

I am fed up of their bad customer services!!!!

    Can anybody help?

    Thanks

barreiros160 - write to them cancelling your order.

Do not touch this company with a barge pole, there are better companies out there. Even if it arrives you have 14 days cooling off to return.

My wife ordered a phone from MR, it hadn't come a week later so she emailed them and told them to cancel the order and got one elsewhere.

About a week later some Indian sounding chap rang her and said something about a phone cancellation (she wasn't sure), so she confirmed she had cancelled it and that was the end of her dealings with MR.

    Hi guys,

I'm thinking of taking out a contract with MR as their offers are amazing. However, i have changed my mind reading everyone's posts. I was wondering if you guys think i should leave the contract and get it from somewhere else?

Please bear in mind i am certain i will stick to the T&C's (even though many of them are quite unfair), i think some people haven't got their cashback because they may not have (please be assured that isn't a malicious comment).

    Many thanks

I don't think you'll get a direct response to this question, there are nearly 450 posts in this one thread giving advice.

I doubt anyone is going to recommend MR for a safe cashback experience even if you are certain you can stick by the T&Cs, otherwise this thread would have been a whole lot shorter. :rotfl:

i think i'll hafta agree with grayme....even the crappy companies can fulfill new orders from new customers; and if Mobile Rainbow can't even do that nowadays, only goes to show that they're worse than rotten...

Unfortunaltely I have only just found this site after ordering my phone from mobile rainbow. The phone arrived quickly after my order within 3 days, the problem then was the sim card, it says inactive sim when you put it in the phone, I rang them and they said it has to be in the phone for 24 hours to activate, I rang vodafone who said they have no details on that mobile number to ring MR back. I did this today and all phone lines are dead I am now abit worried I don't know whether to send the phone back but the customer service guarantee says you have to contact them to tell them you are sending it back which I can't do. Now panicing whether to change bank accounts as they have my details. If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful

Later Msols sent a message asking me to inform the Court that it was paid and that they want the reference removed from the register...

My personal view is that they have no right to request this. You took them to court and the judgement was in your favour and thus the record should stand for all to see. This is one of teh reasons why companies often settle before court action takes place.

What they are trying to do is wipe any trace of wrongdoing for others to see. Unfortunately, cases that have been withdrawn before the hearing do not become public knowledge. I know this because I have discussed this very issue with the courts service, hoping to obtain useful statistics about retailers who have taken their customers to the wire before paying out.

As you had to take them to court to get your money, let them take you to court to get the record removed (and lose).

It sounds to me like you could have a Vodafone phone (locked to Vodafone) and a SIM from another network.

If you have access to an O2 phone (usually unlocked) you could try putting it in there to see what the number of the SIM is (and lookup online the std code to see the network) and see if it works.

24 hours to activate is balony.

They have every right to request this, though they should not need to.

If there has been a judgement issued to them to pay up (which there has), then the Claimant must inform the court when full and final payment has been received.

This does not "wipe away any trace of wrongdoing", but it shows that the order has been adhered to, and the money paid over.

They cannot take the Claimant to court over this, but they can contact the court over the matter, and the court will in turn contact the Claimant and require him to confirm whether or not payment has been made.

It will save all this if the Claimant just e-mails the court and notifies them of the payment without waiting for more correspondence.
