Rmac - I assume you've tried the most 'OS' trick of all to get your labour started ;) I was *ahem* like a rabbit in my 2nd pregnancy and he was 4 1/2wks early :o Wasn't unhappy though as he weighed 7lbs 5oz at 35wks! This method was also recommended to me with 1st & 3rd pregnancies which both went over :D Hope you enjoy your day watching tv I'll keep everything crossed that LO decides to put an appearance in soon!

I'm just having 5 mins in between cleaning kitchen - have just got the 3 worse cupboards to do - under the sink, main plate & cup cupboard & 'pantry' cupboard to do :p I should have started with them I know then I wouldn't be on the computer not doing it :rotfl:

Hockey - I'm also in Edinburgh and a BIG rugby fan (married to a rugby player) Are you going to the match on Sunday? I'm most annoyed with baby's timing meaning I won't be!!! :rotfl:

Oh yes, going on Sunday with OH, my folks and his parents who have never been to a rugby international despite being massive rugby fans. That's what happens when you live abroad for most of your life though.

OH got some tickets for the Ireland game as well from a colleague on the rig so will be going to that too. Super excited, get yourself in front of the tv with plenty snacks and turn the volume up, baby might come out singing Flower of Scotland:rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Thank you for all thinking about me, I am fine.

Someone had a go about dear heart on another board, and I am feeling a bit fragile. I believe I am overreacting, but still a bit upset.

Little bear is full of cold, very green nosed and into mischief. Evil cat is looking a bit frail.

A breakthrough with little bear - he growled like a tiger and waved a 'paw' in concert with the tv. He won't, of course, repeat this for his father, and ignores my attempts to coax noises out of him. He has his own views, and I suspect that this is just the start of him deciding what he will do and when.

Had lovely soup last night and as it is reasonably economical I shall share - soften an onion and a bit of garlic in some oil. Add 12 oz diced potatoes, quarter tsp garam masala, tumeric & chilli and continue for a few mins. Then add tin chopped toms (value, of course), tin chickpeas and one and one half pints water. After thirty mins add 3oz frozen peas and simmer.

I am still reading the thread and sending lots of prayers and good wishes. So pleased for MSD and hugs to so many that are struggling.

Happy birthday to Churchmouse and my DD3:bdaycake: , who is 29 today:bdaycake:

Feeling a bit better to-day, forced myself out of bed at 7.30 think that might be way to go...thanks for all your kind messages of support. Would like to know where Sybil is, not like her to be missing for days....anyone have a number to ring her??

Cold still here and more snow, hope that I can get back to collect DGS2 at 1.25, when I get most of the way I go into Wicklow and they have gritted the roads but they are not done in Kildare so that's the worst bit.

Tuesday's left over stew to-day with chilli, beans and tin of tomatoes, will have it with potatoes though as OH in true Irishman style would be unable to go 2 days on the trot withough his spuds!

Hugs to all in need or want, welcome to newbies, congratulations to all who are celebrating and thank you for being my friends

  • Morning All

Well we have snow..........well kind of. Slightly strange as when I look out there is no snow but DH just sent me a picture from work (which is about 10 minutes away) and the snow is lying thick. Lol! Was supposed to be going to meet my friend this morning for coffee but snow where she is seems pretty bad so we have decided to leave it until next week.

So up early this morning and so far have cleaned and re-arranged all my kitchen cupboards. DH hates it when I move everything around as he says he can never find what he is looking for. Then just when he gets used to it I will move it all again! :rotfl: :rotfl: Keeps him on his toes!

Had lovely HM lasagne for tea last night. Was gorgeous even if I do say so myself! Dinner tonight will be chicken in bbq sauce and noodles. Need to think of a way to 'spice up' the noodles a bit. Anyone any ideas?

Going to see my sister and little neice this afternoon so having lunch with them. Probably nice soup and sandwiches. We tend to just 'cobble' these things together.

Probably not much else going on today as the cold plus all my mad kitchen moving this morning seems to have aggrivated my Arthurs somewhat.

Hope you all have a nice day

Morning all, I was MIA yesterday, I'd been awake most of the night my sinus's were killing me, hurt so bad my teeth were aching! Anway got to the chemist and got the tablets we then had a meeting with the bank and shopping to do, got home about 12 and went straight to bed felt really bad. I slept most of yesterday and woke feeling like I'd been runover by a truck IFKWIM. Feel a bit better today just aches and pains and sinus ok now. Will take it easy and come back for a read later. Hugs to all who need them and Happy Birthday to churchmouse. Keep warm folks.
