I couldn't understand why my parents were so worried  I suspect that might have been my 'we used to walk along the railway tracks' moment. Anyway, in case you're wondering, yes, he tried it on, and no, I wouldn't have dreamed of it. I remember coming home feeling really gutted that my 'friend' couldn't get a girl his own age :rotfl:

OMG that made me giggle so much. I remember at that age thinking I was invulnerable and that I knew it all :rotfl: It also reminds me of something that happened when I was around that age when a couple of lads took me and my friend to the cinema. He took my hand and all I coud think as I froze in my seat was OMG what IS that    Talk about being naive :o being an only child I was umm..rather innocent. I leaned over and whispered to my pal that his drist os deformed and she whispered back that I was a silly sod and told me what it was  I grabbed my bag pronto and said I had to go to the ladies and ran all the way home shocked to the core.

Hmm I wonder if this will be the day for embarassing teen tales :p

    Good morning,

It's snowing here again, but being on a peninsula, we have strange weather, so it's snowing in a can't be bothered kind of way and isn't settling yet. Ds no longer goes to his nan's on a Thursday as his nan has gone to Australia for 3 months, so I think we'll be having a baking morning.

I'm going to make some cherry scones for me, and we'll probably make some fairy cakes as ds has a friend visiting later. I have plenty of baking ingredients, and plenty of bread and milk too (not to mention the breadmaker), so if the snow comes down heavier we should be alright. I am also hoping to do some tidying and general cleaning as dh is home in 2 weeks.

Mrs Mix - don't let the bully get you down, you can fight them!
sybill - Hope everything is ok, i miss you and Little Bear's adventures.
MSD - Hope you are ok, Hugs to you and Tristan

    HUGS to everyone else

It's trying to snow here, very overcast and chilly. OH called to say the choppers might be delayed today becasue weather in Aberdeen is so bad. picture scenes from the film Day After Tomorrow.... Anyway keeping everything crossed he gets off today. Looking on the bright side he has done 3 weeks which means he doesnt have to go back out on shift if he can't fly today (due to H&S regs). Plus he isn't is a rush as he is coming down to Edinburgh tomorrow and not today.

OS- DW on as I left this morn and swished & swiped the kitchen. Cereal for breakfast, lunch is salad and chicken and tea will be noodles when I get in from training later.

Managed to cook the sponge cake last night but burnt the edges:rolleyes: Ah well not bad for first attempt but sponge is now resembling more of a biscuit...

 Happy Birthday Churchmouse:beer: Have a lovely day.
VickyA - :j at your news.

(((Hugs))) to anyone who needs one.

No snow here today but plenty of rain - its horrible out there.

I have cleaned the kitchen surfaces and popped out to the butchers and picked up a chicken for tonight - no idea what we are having with it yet, might just be chips and salad. One load of washing in the machine and plenty to go - will have to use the rads and drier today.

Think will spent this morning doing housework then sit down to the paperwork this afternoon.

DD's careers evening was interesting at the moment she wants to do a teaching degree after a levels - we will she is only 13 so a lot can change!

Need to get on, have a great day all.

Morning all............(((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) if you need one...

We have got snow, loads of it.........and its still snowing. I knew it was deep because I could not hear the vehicles moving on the road outside, have not seen a bus yet at all, so it looks as if they are not running.......glad I have a store of food in we will not starve even if it lasts more than a few days. My grandson might not get his birthday card if I cannot get to the post office to post it.....will e mail is mum and let her know we are ok but that I am not going out.

A bad night last night OH could not sleep, so of course neither could I, drinking tea at 1.45am....I did wake just before 8.30 and decided to get up.

This morning I am tackling the cupboard under the kitchen sink, its a double cupboard and also full of junk, there is still a lot of the old cleaning stuff I bought before I went green, I know its a waste of money, but think it might just go in the bin. I need to make room for the baking tins from the borrom of the old cooker. I have not ordered the new one yet, have decided to let them take this one and then order the new one, they deliver in 2 days, so it will give me a chance to clean under where the cooker goes and also the sides of the cupboards it butts onto. I can manage with the combi micro, the steamer and the Remoska.

OH had another good day yesterday...no dizzy's.

Right off for my second mug of coffee and a shower..............
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

Morning all.Sorry I've not been posting much, dont seem to get the time at the mo with DH and DS2 around, but I've been keeping up with the news more or less-Diva,really pleased to hear some positive news about Tristan.

Happy Birthday Churchmouse.Have a good day.

We've got a bit of snow,I got up with the dog at 4 and none then, taking him out shortly, cold paws for him. Will be busy making cake later as it was DS1s
birthday yesterday and they are coming up for tea later. He had an interview later, but its as he thought, not a permanent job but the offer of some freelance work, which is better than nowt,as we say up here.Especially as he had a letter to say he can't get any JSA,as he hadnt been working at his old job 2 years so hadnt enough contributions  He never got any last time he was unemployed either because he was living with his girlfriend.Hey ho.Soit looks like freelance may be the way to go.The interviewer said he thought more firms would be doing this rather than take on full time staff.

Rightyo, better get the dog out.Soup for lunch, cod bake for tea.Have good days everybody.Sybil, hope youre ok.x
