Bargainbird - I got a recall!!! :j:j:j
It's on Saturday at 11am. It's for a play called Eleemosynary - it's a three hander involving three generations of the same family. Fingers (and toes) crossed! I really want to get some more experience while I'm at uni to plonk on my cv.
MSD - Did you used to be on the cabaret circuit? I was also semi-pro for a few years before I came to uni, now heading towards musical theatre.
Moggins - Congrats on the work!!
*huuuuugs* to anybody struggling, I'm in a good phase now but I've had depression since I was 14. The only way I can handle it is by keeping myself too busy to think
I've actually done everything I need to today, so I'm going to chill out tonight I think with the TV and a bowl of Lucky Charms - anyone remember them?2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Hi everyone
Hugs to one and all that are feeling under the weather.
Finished work early today as I was feeling tired. However, I came home and made 2 dozen fairy cakes for DN2 who is the most fussiest eater ever. She alternates between muffins, cheese on toast and chocolate cakes or my butterfly cakes. Anyway, she is only 4 and after I had picked her up from school, she proceeded to eat one. I thought it was lasting her a while as I had left the room, only for me to return and find later on that she had eaten three!
DH is back. He had been away overnight so at least I am guaranteed to fall asleep easier tonight if only for his body heat! Had to unpick the scarf I had started to knit yesterday. It is that fluffy type wool and when I tried to unpick a row, I couldn't work out where the stitches were, so in my impatience I unravelled the lot !! As you do. Take two and I am about 10ins in tonight and all seems to be going well I think, although with the bits floating about, my lips feel dry and my eyes are dry. Does anyone else find this happens.
Anyway, am off to try and concentrate on knitting and watch the match. Come on you blues!! Have a warm night one and all.I got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.0 -
Meanmarie I hope you can get some relief from this depression soon. It's an awful thing. My oldest & closest friend has been depressed for years every time she tries to reduce the dose of antidepressants she plummets. She yo-yo'd for a few years before deciding that it was better to stay on them as the awfulness of the depression was worse than her dislike of taking meds. ((((((((big big hugs)))))))))) to you.

Wow a mixed bag today!
MSD I am so so pleased to read your news. :j :j :j Keeping you and T in my prayers.
Halight - sorry to hear about the funeral but good luck for the interview - will be keeping many things crossed!
Congrats on the job Moggins and the call back LadyMay!:D :T :j
MeanMarie huge hugs to you:kisses3: , i know how you feel as I've struggled with depression for a long time and only recently really resolved to get help. I found a supportive counsellor very useful but still keep taking the pills.
I'm nor very OS today but have fly ladied and used soem leftover chilli to make wraps for tea so I'm off to eat them and swot up for my interview tomorrow!! Please can I have no snow vibes for Yorkshire as I need to get there for 8.30!
Hugs and blessings to all.

Evening all, most of snow has now gone, sunny and warmer today.
GD's 15th birthday - where do the years go!
Successful day, got some more Seville oranges, more small packs of seed potatoes from Wilkos (had a nice chat to an allotmenteer) and liberated an enamel pie dish from Mother’s (don’t know how old it is but unused with original label!). In charity shop found 9 Hornsea plates for £2.75 and a lovely faux suede zip up jacket for StepD £1 (looks new!) Then had yummy dinner of a 49p whoopsied Haggis from Mr. M. with the obligatory tatties and neeps.
Churchmouse – will be making the Galette au Chou, thank you for the link.
Good luck with the interview Halight.
Haven’t managed to read all the thread yet, hope everyone has had a good day, hugs to those who need them and furry purrs to the pets.0 -
Hi all
Bit late reporting in today but been a bit busy, just read the whole thread, well some up some down as they say, looks like we getting another dollop of snow around 5am in the morning here in Shropshire, then snowing for a few hours so expect the kids won't be in school tommorrow, Finished off the remains of the chicken chasseur in the sloooow cooker was brilliant, watched a bit of tele and then did some more to me website (mirrorstyle.co.uk) been quite pleased with reaction to site so far.
Have got to go and see clients in Bhm tommorrow - just what the doctor ordered with heavy snow due!! Anyway - think it will be a pasta bake for tea tommorrow, porridge as always for brekkie and lunch will be somat "on the hoof" warm nights to all, take care :j

Hello everyone.
Congratulations to Moggins and Ladymay
Hugs to MeanMarie - don't try to analyse "why" - sometimes the "why's" don;t matter, it's just getting yourself better that's the important thing.
Diva - wonderful news! I'm absolutely delighted for you and of course Tristan's family. :j
Nesssie and others feeling poorly - hope you're recovered soon.
Still quite a bit of snow laying here but thank goodness the roads were mostly clear now. Back to some sort of normality at work today too which was helpful!
My Mum got a call from a consultant at the hospital earlier on - seems I was right to suspect that she'd broken her arm, and she was right to say that the Doc who saw her on the night she hurt herself wasn't much good as it turns out that another look at her xrays has revealed breaks in both her arm and her shoulder! I'm SO cross with the Doctor...and seriously hope that severe action is taken against him. If the arm proves to be a hairline fracture I'm prepared to accept that it might not have shown up clearly on the night (although plainly it's clear enough now for the consultant to have picked it up!) but a broken shoulder should be clear enough to spot, esp when he should have been specifically looking for it! She has to go back to the fracture clinic tomorrow so we'll hopefully know more then.
We currently have our fingers crossed for a couple of 6-Nations tickets becoming available through a chap at the rugby club....he got two for the Calcutta cup match at Twickenham (England -v- Scotland) and can't use them, so hopefully we're going to be buying them from him.....I'm trying not to be too hopeful until we know for definite! He's meant to be ringing MrEH so here's hoping.......rugby practise is off tomorrow night anyway (Hurrah - less muddy kit to wash!) and I have a suspicion that the match may be cancelled on Saturday as well.
Not much OS today - salmon, baked potatoes and steamed brocolli for tea, tuna rolls for lunch, and HM granola for breakfast at work. will S&S the kitchen before I turn in and another load of washing will go through the machine tonight.

Thanks for all the kind messages and the pms...feel a bit better for all the kind thoughts. Going to bed soon and will set alarm for early morning...taking DGS2 to school to-morrow unless there is more snow during the night. Need to get myself into a routine even if it is an easygoing one as think that is some of my problem.
Sleep well all

Glad you are feeling a bit better now Marie, I'm another who can empathise with you.
MSDiva – that is such good news! Hope Tristan keeps improving. No wonder you are so happy, I can see your smile from here! Brilliant.:T :j :T0
