    Morning everyone

Still some snow on the ground, as my mum would say, it's hanging round for more.

Not done a lot since I got up as hurt my back yesterday. Don't really know what I did, has happened before, usually when bending, lifting etc, but all I was doing was standing:eek: it's getting easier but still letting me know every now and then.

Have just done a Mr T shop online, spent the same as usual but didn't get as much.

Put WM on so will have to drape that around the place before I go to work.

Had toast for brekkie, will have some soup later, not sure about dinner tonight am just going to look in the freezer for inspiration.

Have a good day and keep warm everyone

    Morning all.....................((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))if you need one.

Brightish morning here, the traffic is moving ok, but we still have snow which I suspect is now frozen, so doubly dangerous.....will not be going out today.

Tooth still jumping from time to time, last night I had toothache where I have no teeth, so not sure whats going on. Will see out today and if its no better a call to the tooth puller man tomorrow!!!

No plans for today except to keep warm, OH was ok all day yesterday so fimgers for today.

Blooming council have not taken this months Council Tax, I suspect its because OH sent in his £1.20 a month pension rise....why they have to stop it I do not know, only makes for more to be paid further down the line. we only get about £3 a week benefit anyway. We once got a bill for £300 overpaid benefit......I appealled and got is quashed.........they had calculated the benefit wrongly by taking my OH's civil service pension at £160 a week, when it was per month stupid idiots, obviously cannot read!!! It takes them 8 weeks to process any changes. They have this system now where you go in and register and then are given a time to go back for an appointment......last time I went we had to waste two and a half hours in the town. We used to be able to ring up and make an appointment. I wonder what would happen if I said I could not go in because I cannot leave OH??????? I suppose they will tell me to post the papers in and then an 8 week waitor them to sort it out again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Drives me nutty. I wish we could do without it, but its ours by right we quailify so I claim it.

    Sorry......rant over...........

Off for my second mug of coffee.....................
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
  • Morning all,

Icy here, spent twenty minutes scraping the car before dropping DD at school. Today I shall be:

Going to the gym for my re-induction (doesn't sound very money saving but DH paid up front for it so not using it is worse!)

Going to Mr M's for a few bits.

    Washing/Drying and Ironing.

Dinner will be Pork chops, pots and veg.

    Lunch : ???

    Breakfast: ??

Would love to join the Facebook Group - and become friends with anyone that'll have me!!!!

Hugs to you all as always

  • Good morning everyone. It's realy frosty today.Fresh and cold but lovely.I'm realy enjoying this winter,it's been so boring and depressing in past years when the seasons never seemed to change.Who knows we may get a good summer too. Here's hoping.
My husband thinks I've gone even more mad than usual.I went into a downstairs room we don't often use and said I can here water sloshing about. It sounded like waves. We did a bit of detective work and it was coming from the plug in phone.I picked it up and water just poured out of it.It was standing in a small pool of water too.It seems that since it had been situated in a cold bay window it had attracted condensation and it was drenched, there was no leaks or water anywhere else.No one ever uses that phone and we hardly use the room so goodness knows how long it's been like that. When I told my daughter she just looked at me and said "you don't expect me to take you seriously do you, you'll be telling me you've got green jelly oozing out of the walls next" but it's true(no not the green jelly bit).I must admit the phone thing is something new to me though.
    I'm going shopping today.Yes you've guessed it I need a new phone.
I made a stew for today so it's a lazy day.
    (((hugs))) to all in need.
Hope everyone has a good day
Take care and keep warm xxx

    Good morning all!

Actually got some sleep last night - eventually!!! My room is freeeeezing at night so it took a thick jumper, a pair of tights under my pj's and two pairs of socks to get warm under my duvet and two blankets, but got there in the end :p

My HM bread was a success - chuffed to bits with it. Only problem is it's a bit crumbly so no good for sandwiches:rolleyes: I'll have to eat it with my HM stew instead - yum yum!

Ooooooo, got a refund from the TV license people (because I don't have a TV anymore) £58.19 going straight onto my evil MBNA CC :j:T:j:T

Uni's back on today, but no classes for me on Wednesdays so I have my contact lens appointment, then I'm off to an audition for a play at uni - wish me luck! Other plans for today are more line-learning :rolleyes2, do my vocal warm-ups and work on rep, and I must must must do some studying today!

All this talkof jobs is worrying me - I'm graduating in a few months and I'm petrified of getting work, especially because I want to get into theatre. Think the plan may be to survive on a P/T wage and go to as many auditions as possible. Even more incentive to get my CCs cleared!

Natty - I'e just had porridge myself - there's nothing like it to warm you up, is there? Made it with honey, raisins and hazelnuts - yum yum!

*huuuugs* for everybody who needs one, especially Halight - thinking of you and your family. And good luck on the job interview:o

    Ladymay Thanks:j :j

  • Good morning and ((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))) for all.

I have no idea what the weather is today as I've not even bothered looking out the window. I do know that it's changing tho because my headache is back full force. :(

I did a chicken in the slow cooker yesterday and after tea stripped it and made soup overnight in the slow cooker. Lots of chunky veg for DH in it so he has that for his lunch along with a roll today. It looks like I'll have plenty to freeze for later in the month. Brekkie was porridge which both DH and I didn't finish. Am trying to figure out what to do with a half pan of porridge now.

Just need to tidy up, hoover and do the ironing that I've been avoiding today. Tea tonight will be sweet and sour pork using up the pork from our Sunday roast. I've pulled veg fried rice I made and froze out to thaw and will heat that to go along with it. Afters are questionable at this point. I really don't want to use the oven for one thing and haven't figured out what else I can pop in there to make it more economical to use.

Hope everyone has a good day. I think I'm heading back to bed after the chores are done. Just one of those days.

    Lots of gentle hugs,

    Peyton xx

    Good morning everybody! :hello:

Big hugs to those who can't sleep, those in pain, and those with problems :grouphug:
Halight, funerals are horrid, but it's good news about the interview, good luck xxx
PurpleIvy, it was great to hear from you - I hope things are good out there xxx
Csarina, I used to work in the benefits system, the way they operate is bananas, it did my head in because they just don't seem to grasp that THESE ARE REAL LIVES WE'RE MESSING WITH HERE, FOLKS! Unfortunately all of the people who care end up banging their heads against the wall and leaving.

We seem to be bucking the trend, it snowed last night and it is deeper here now than it was last night! Haven't been out in it yet but it looks crispy rather than icy. It does make the place look prettier though!

Well, hopefully my last ever Tesco shopping is arriving this evening, I need to clean the fridge out first. Plus, I think a friend is coming to stay tomorrow so I need to get the house up to houseguest standards :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a good day xxx
  • Morning all

Expecting to be visited by the men in white coats this morning!! Went out and did the animals as normal, fed and watered all 16 of them...and then walked the dogs in my wellies because of the snow...halfway down the main road, realised that I was still in my dressing gown and PJ's with wellies on!!!

Normally it wouldnt bother me but today the roads are so icy and slushy that everyone is travelling really slowly.....I didn't half get some strange looks!!! Well, at least it proves that my PJ's and dressing gown are snuggly...or that I hadn't woken up properly!!!!!

OS today...made some Bread rolls and also 3 batches of Twinkies Hob nobs..including one batch where I added choc chips and almond flakes!!! MMMMMMmmmmm......

Still to do..have to clean out animals and give loads of extra bedding today, Dog to the vets... egg mayonnaise to be made for OH's sandwiches...soup to be made for his flask...Ironing sat in basket and keep shouting at me ( I will keep ignoring it)...

Thats about it for the moment!! Off to clean out the animals...And I am dressed this time!!

    :rotfl:
