For those having trouble with the old style FB group, look on my home page under groups, where you will find the old style group, I don't think its closed as such, but just that you have to request to join, you must put your mse name when requesting, its another mse'r who runs it, but I remember how lost I was when I first joined FB :rolleyes:0

Morning Chums ,
well, still got some snow here in North Kent, but on looking out the window the roads seem to be like a sheet of glass.Very cold last night, I am hoping it may warm up a bit today so I can get to the shops. My DD dropped some bread round for me last night bless her.She enjoyed her first day although she had to spend most of it doing 'thank you but the job has been filled ' letters which made her feel sad for the applicants. They had over a 100 letters for one part-time job. Only got to buy some fresh fruit so if push comes to shove I can leave it for another day. Tomorrow my pal is hopefully coming down to visit me and taking me out to lunch which I look forward to. Today is just a 'wait and see' what the weather will do sort of day.Got a little bit of ironing to finish off and a quick swish around the kitchen porridge for breakfast and a cheese toastie for lunch, I think I have a chicken kiev lurking in the freezer so that will probably be Dinner tonight.
isn't it nice that the nights are drawing out a little bit.Soon be spring and the daffodils everywhere and that will cheer everyone up.
<<hus >> to those who are down, and to the rest of you keep wrapped up warm0 -
Morning :hello:
I'm having a fuzzy-brain day today  I have days like that, I wake up feeling strange and I really have to think things through instead of just getting on with it. Roll on blood test day
I haven't seen mr tru since 8am yesterday, there was a carpet show - or something carpety, lol - on last night somewhere in South Wales so the boss paid for a hotel room. I'll pass on all your congrats when I see him later
I spread all my backing papers out on the table yesterday, I'm hoping inspiration will hit and I'll manage to make some cards today. I need some by friday and I just can't do it :undecided
I've got another funny for you. A few years ago, the teen-trus bought me a big plant for my birthday. When people came round, they'd ask them "would you like to come into the garden to see my mum's bush?"
Mummysaver - he gave up on the idea on me working in his friend's shop a while ago, just as well cos with his new job he won't be able to drop me off there
Ivyleaf - we've tried all the Rentokil stuff from Wilkinson's, had a bit of success with one of the things (sorry, I can't remember what they're all called) - it was seeds covered in blue poison. After about a week, we found 4 dead mice - AND bits of the poison on the carpet and no seed, and could still hear mice running around. I think they were peeling the poison off  We also bought some poison from the local hardware shop - can't remember the brand. We tried a plug-in sonic thing which is meant to drive them away but a few seconds after turning it on, the guinea pigs went nuts, running around and squealing like mad so we unplugged that sharpish. I didn't think about it affecting them
Judging by the GPs reaction, I would say the sonic plug will work but only if you don't have pets in the house.

Morning all,:j :j
WoW some of you were up early this morning:eek: .
There is still loads of snow about around here. I have not hard yet if the local schools are open up not.
Iv got a funral to go to later this morning The lady who has died lived in my moms and dads street when i was a growing up. In the last few years since her husband died iv been looking after her garden for her to earn a bit of extra money. She lived to a good old age of 96 and had a good life.
The job center phoned me yesterday to say that thay have set me up an interview with a home for disabled folk Its on friday at 12.oopm at the job center. Im not holding out much hope of getting the job because if the job center are setting up the interviews and holdig them at the job center then there must be a lot of people intrested in the job. A lot of peopel have lost there jobs in our local area so ther are plenty looking and going after the small amout of jobs on offer.
Im still waiting to see if i hear off that job that i sent off the app form for. So at least im out there looking.
But we will see.
Anyway i hope that you all have a great day. :j :j
Keep warm keep well and keep safe:A the bad wether is not over yet more on the way:eek:
All the best:beer:
Keep:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Morning OS'ers, snow sort of clearing here in North Kent
But I did have to defrost the bird bath again as that was frozen over, and there is still the odd bit of snow lingering in the garden/park/roads. Have been up since 5ish as I needed to take some painkillers for a developing migraine. Still I have been busy.. I've been dressed and bathed since 7am which is a miracle for me. Have written my list of things to do for the day, invited my neighbour round for some homemade carrot or parsnip soup for lunch. Which means I have to quickly blitz the soup..as it is sitting in the fridge in the slowcooker dish. The carrot soup is already made up that has been sitting in the fridge since yesterday so that's not a problem.
Just going to have a yoghurt for breakfast with my third cup of tea, although might have some porridge beforehand as that is warming and it's gorgeous with golden syrup in..mmmmm
Cleaned the bathroom and toilet after my bath, washed up, made the bed and swished and swiped the kitchen worktops. Have to tackle the ironing so will do that later on today.. Am slowly working my way through Mt Washmore at the moment..my poor washing machine is going to think it's on overtime at this rate..lol.Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Morning friends
I just want to send lots of warm hugs to any that need and to say you lot on here are the best :grouphug:0 -
Good morning all!
Actually got some sleep last night - eventually!!! My room is freeeeezing at night so it took a thick jumper, a pair of tights under my pj's and two pairs of socks to get warm under my duvet and two blankets, but got there in the end
My HM bread was a success - chuffed to bits with it. Only problem is it's a bit crumbly so no good for sandwiches:rolleyes: I'll have to eat it with my HM stew instead - yum yum!
Ooooooo, got a refund from the TV license people (because I don't have a TV anymore) £58.19 going straight onto my evil MBNA CC :j:T:j:T
Uni's back on today, but no classes for me on Wednesdays so I have my contact lens appointment, then I'm off to an audition for a play at uni - wish me luck! Other plans for today are more line-learning :rolleyes2, do my vocal warm-ups and work on rep, and I must must must do some studying today!
All this talkof jobs is worrying me - I'm graduating in a few months and I'm petrified of getting work, especially because I want to get into theatre. Think the plan may be to survive on a P/T wage and go to as many auditions as possible. Even more incentive to get my CCs cleared!
Natty - I'e just had porridge myself - there's nothing like it to warm you up, is there? Made it with honey, raisins and hazelnuts - yum yum!
*huuuugs* for everybody who needs one, especially Halight - thinking of you and your family. And good luck on the job interview:o2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Hope you have a nice day Mx0 -
Morning all!
Cold here, some twit (ie one of the kids) turned off the heating! No wonder all the animals rushed outside when I opened the door, it's probably warmer out there!
BM, yoghurt on, kitchen S&S, need to hoover as ds didn't do it last night for some reason, sigh! Then off into town to move money from bank to bank! At least there's no danger of being tempted into spending, hardly any shops left it seems.
Lunch will be freezer surprise for me, kids have cheese and carrot sarnies, yoghurt, fruit and orange and choc chip muffins.
Dinner will be chicken New Yorker for the kids, something veggie for me!
Hugs to all who need one, will pop back later xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
