No one's got the guts to come up and ask you, that's what it is? If I see someone with a cow print trolley I shall go up and introduce myself and ask them if they're an 'old styler'

    Moggins,

I could see them all taking looks at it but none of them actually asked me where they could get one. What's the big deal about having a blinking shopping trolley. Even on the way up there I sensed the traffic that was passing was going a little slower than usual to rubber neck at my trolley. ;) They know they all want one don't they, just....

They do want one, and I bet they start asking where you got it, if they have not already icon7.gif

Hi Frankie  Check for safety pins icon10.gif
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

I know this is a silly question, but can I just ask how people manage to get a fully loaded trolley into a car please? :o

I'm on the verge of buying one but then it struck me that most of you seem to use them so you can walk to the local shops/supermarket, therefore you can just wheel them home again and unpack in the kitchen. I have visions of me getting back to the car, fully laden with meat/veggies etc, and then not being able to lift it into the boot :rotfl: ... and standing there unpacking it in the middle of a busy carpark possibly wouldn't be an option :o

What I've done on the one time I used my trolley in conjunction with the car is unloaded the bags from the trolley into the boot, folded down my trolley and slung it on the back seat :D Then as I can't usually park anywhere near my house I can unfold it when I get home, load the bags back into the trolley and trundle to my house :D

I suppose that would work where everything placed in it was also in a carrier bag, but then I was kinda thinking that by using a trolley I could cut down on the number of carrier bags used by putting things directly into it and save the planet from excess carrier bag usage :rotfl:

I can see I'm going to have to think this one through a bit more, and I know it probably sounds ridiculous to some of you, but it's stuff like this I need to contemplate and plan out ahead before I can even think of going out somewhere :o

I think that unloading and loading the trolley at the car is still going to be easier, over all, than lugging loadsa bags around several different shops.

As for carrier usage - I stuff some in the pocket of the trolley and re-use them as often as possible.

Was out the other day with my shopper and got some really nice comments about it. I hadn't actually been into town with it prior to this and was a bit self conscious going into town with it, passed a few tartan shoppers on the way. :-) Anyway everyone that asked about it thought it was a really funky, cool looking trolley, so didn't feel so self conscious then. The lady at Tescos asked where I got it and I mentioned about MSE and she said that she'd checked out the site and saved a fortune on her insurance so thumbs up there. Since having my shopper it's saved me time and money, I've been able to buy up items in bulk rather than worry about what I can manage to carry home. I'm really pleased I got one and as others have said further up the thread, I wish I'd bought one years ago. I would never have bought one if it hadn't of been for them being mentioned on here, and I'm glad I did. Thanks!!!

Yep, I do this too, I find that if you have an online delivery from Tesco it always arrives with an abundance of bags so I reuse them for my market and car boot shopping. I can't avoid getting them so I use them where it will make life easier and then when they're getting a bit past it I use them to line the toilet and bathroom bins.

If you're getting online Tesco deliveries and you're fed up of all the carrier bags piling up, you can always give them back to the driver for recycling ;)

I do keep a few though as I also find them handy to use as bin liners in waste baskets, and also for emptying the waste from the cats' litter tray into. Will have to try and remember to take some shopping with me too next time I manage to go :D
