cwta take it steady with the packing though, getting them to fetch all the boxes form your dads too? you do have a whole week to do it.
yeah, if it had just been chloe i think she would ahve been fine with her manner, i wouldnt ahve got so annoyed anyway. i think its more that the others have been seeing whitney for 6 years, and every month for the past 6 months and it was 6-8 weekly for the year or two before, so they all know her and listen to me when i tell them she is not right. i really dont normally have problems with inexperienced vets/doctors/whatever because they ahve to learn somehow and i was an inexperienced but qualified nurse once so i have empathy ya know. i probably could cut whitneys claws myself, if she would let me, but no way could i hold her and cut them, its not that easy for the vet to cut while i hold either so no way im even going to try.
speaking of whit, i just came in (darn kids were on the swings so i missed half my daily exercise) and she poked just her nose out fomr under the blanket, rubbish photo since it was on m phone and she went back to being hidden completely by the blanket when she had made sure i wasnt going to drop the puter on her or sit on her but i thought it was cute.0 -
pcl Thanks. I'm gonna ask Dad and his wife to bring the boxes when they come over for a nose.
Aww bless her. She looks so comfy!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
purplecatlover wrote: »bz im sorry, that really sucks. it is really really crap that things have to be fought so dang hard for yet other people seem to have it easy to get everything they need. reallys annoys me too that. is it worth complaining about the fact that they lied?
Mil2b is asking them to do stuff, but they don't go back to her with answers, nevermind answer at the time. She hasn't been refusing them, but apparently the shower was out of action for a day or two cos something needed fixing so she'd been asking if it was working again...
Trust me, the size of her, nothing is coming out! She's not even passing wind.
I had words with them yesterday about helping her etc. We'll see how she is today."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
BZ- so sorry about ur wheelchair problem, these people should swap a day in your life and see what pain is.Also put your request to ward in writing then they can't ignore it, do one copy to ward sister and one to ward manager.Tell them you are worried for your Mil2b's welfare.
I don't think the actions/inaction of the staff at the hospital is bad enough to warrant anything in writing...and I daresay if she was more on form she'd fight her own corner, but it just annoys me that you have to fend for yourself almost in hospital - surely if you're in hospital in the first place the chances are that you are too out of it or weak to make your case or remember what you want to ask about or retain the answers.
Hope your sciatica clears up soon Hassie."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

pcl the pic of Whit is uber cute"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Btw, Miss Axe, why on earth have you arranged for yet another thing to be on on the day of your move?? Surely you won't have time to take the cat to the vets in amongst moving melee??"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0

Oh Sharon Im gutted for you hun, I cant imagine how your feeling right now, I hope you get your app quickly and that the chemo works. Also hope you've had a good time shopping today, theres nothing like a bit of retail therapy to cheer you up is there, I do most of mine online now I cant cope with queues and crowds let alone walking
plc I hope your cats have got over the trauma from the vets, bless them. The pictures really cute.
cwta Good luck witht he packing. Im getting seriously excited for you now too
I had a hospital app this morning at 9.30, in the next town which usually takes 15-20 to drive to. I left at 9.00 to give me plenty of time to find a parking space and get to the part of the hospital I needed. I got stuck in a traffic jam and it took 3/4's of an hour to get there ! I was 15 mins late for app  the nurse I see was ok about it though, luckily she was running 10 mins late anyway. It was only for my bladder instill that I have every 6 weeks, so I was out of there in 10 mins, the traffic home wasnt much better, I dont know whats happening on the roads today.
Im resting now, the nerve pain has eased a bit, but Im still quite sore down my left side, even the left side of my tongue is tender, does anyone else get this nerve pain down one side ? its like someones drwn a line down my middle and everything on one side hurts, I feel lopsided and it affects my balance. Also dizzy spells are getting worse, I had to pull over in the car on wednesday until a bad one had passed which was a bit scarey, Im going to go to the doctors next week, definitly, but Im worried about being banned from driving, I live in the middle of nowhere and will be really cut off without the car.Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

might be worth investigating..
Thanks PCL :T:T:T:T:T:T. for mentioning the above link. We've been with Sky for years now - but their internet connection really sucks in our area (our line will not support more than 2mg) - it takes me longer to download an episode of 'True Blood' than it does to watch it . Anyway we've signed up with Virgin for both TV and broadband - but I'm sticking with BT for the phone.
I do hope your feline friend feels better soon, I loved the photo and here's one of mine in typical pose. He's a lovable rogue and despite having a car tyre completely squash his rear end _pale_ he completely recovered with lots of TLC.
Suep - sorry to hear about the nerve pain - I don't know what to suggest, except that I'll join you in a good cry. I'm managing on 50mg of Carbamazepine but last night I had rotten arachnoiditis again and it felt like someone was rolling a tube of razor wire down both legs _pale_. I took two Baclofen with my Zopiclone and even that didn't knock me out - I couldn't keep my legs still and was just hoping DH could sleep through it. I can just about cope with pain, but this was like some sort of Chinese torture and it's still hanging about today. DH was hoping I might want to go to the cinema, but a) I still can't keep still and b) if it should let up I'll probably fall asleep :rotfl:. Plus any thoughts of being menopausal seem to be out the window as I've just started again  two weeks after the last time and that's the third time this year:eek:. Prior to that I only had two last year.
BZ - Crikey only 63? I have a friend that age and until she recently had her mastectomy she was still playing badminton a couple of times a week. Until we suddenly lost my dear old aunt at the age of 81, she was still doing all her own housework, including pulling her double bed out once a week to vacuum behind it, climbing up to wash her own windows and mowing her own lawn . She'd just finished doing this, cleaned the mower and put it away, before having a fatal stroke, and what a way to go :T. She had a weird blood disorder that meant she used to give a pint of blood every month. In the final month she hadn't felt well, so the consultant had said maybe she could leave it for that month - who knows if she'd had it taken she might still be here now - over a hundred and deaf as a post :rotfl:. She was my own personal 'Wonder Woman'
CWTA and Suep. Knowing you are into things 'vampiric'have either of you come across the TV series 'True Blood' based on the Charlaine Harris books? I've just got through watching series 1 via the net after one of the girls at the Stitch 'n' B1tch recommended it and I am an absolute fan. Series 2 starts on HBO in the US on 14th June and I can't wait to see what happens next. It's not child friendly being very erotic and not at all what you'd expect from American TV - but it's also humourous with some gorgeous blokes including Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skaarsgard in leading roles. You can always watch it on the net via Megavideo (hopefully this link should work) http://www.livecinemaonline.com/video.php?id=3218 let me know what you think.
Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever
