Unity We did indeed have weather and it was of the lovely variety. Not quite as hot and a cooling breeze. It did cross my mind about going to the Cornwall Show tomorrow, but I don't think I can cope with heat and crowds. Too much for me at the moment.
I'm exactly the same as you that I can't go out two days in a row. Just too much.
bz I'll have a cast around for some info for you at get it to you sometime at the weekend. Good on you for looking out for her even when she puts you through hell sometimes.
WooHoo! I move next week!!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
BZ awww (((hugs)))) Im sorry you are feeling a bit down, its not surprising after the day you've had plus all the worry about MIL2b. I agree with Auntie axe about having a word with your gp, but I understand you've got enough on your plate at the moment. As for the trousers at Next, if you'd asked they could have ordered them for you, Ive got the white ones and a kharki pair from New look, they are lovely to wear in the summer arn't they. I love Next but cant often afford to shop there.
Unity we've still got nice weather here, its a bit cooler than it was but thats quite nice, its supposed to change tomorrow though, I hope we get a few more nice days before autumn.
Well Im paying for sitting on the kitchen floor going through the cupbourds, even though I sat on a cushion, its set off nerve pain all down my left side, from my neck to my foot, I was almost in tears with it earlier. Ive had a hot bath, got my Tens on and the electric heat pad on now, I just hope it eases before bedtime. What does everyone else do when it gets unbearable ?Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

Thanks for the hugs suep but are you have enough to spare with your pain?? Here, have some back!!;) I'd forgotten they could order them in until after I'd come back home, and there was NO way I was going back out again.... When it gets too much I cry, quite frankly suep
after or before taking cocod, diclo, and tramadol, resorting to a hot water bottle is normally a last resort (usually fetched by worried looking DF) and I would've taken myself off to bed more than likely, or tried to immerse myself in something absorbing like a good ol' romcom and/or some crossstitch (depending on where the pain is). If it's outta control I take everything I can and then go to curl up in bed and sob, quite frankly.
Cwta she does my tree in but I spose there may be a small soft spot in there for her somewhereplus she means the world to DF, and as he's everything to me....:happyhear
I'm excited for you for next week too Auntie Axe - we've not forgotten."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
just sneaking in quickly to say goodnight. feel like ive been running round all day (well i have sort of), shall catch up tomorrow as im going to attempt to get some sleep now.
cats are ok, well whitney isnt really but is not any worse than usual and will be there for her monthly jab which helps next week or after if i can eek here out for longer. both had their yearly vaccinations, so chloe is incredibly cross with me now, and was a new vet who peed me off, probably im being unfair though.
sleep well everyone.0 -
good morning all.
sue well done on sorting the food, i always end up with multiple tins in there too, and usually end up with various out of date things because i dont root through them often enough. really i should do it again as they are no longer neat and sorted and everthing is just jammed in lol. it is great being able to skip shopping since you knwo what you have in isnt it. i hope the resulting pain has settled down somewhat now.
bz im sorry, that really sucks. it is really really crap that things have to be fought so dang hard for yet other people seem to have it easy to get everything they need. reallys annoys me too that. is it worth complaining about the fact that they lied? is mil actually asking them to do stuff or is she just thinking they should but they wont so she wont ask? thats crap if they are saying no, and they should be helping her bath/sower and wash her hair automatically, but if she ahs refused it before maybe she got the wrong end of the stick, or they think she wants to do it alone? hope the drain goes ok and does help...do they know nothing is coming out? if she is taking herself to the toilet and hasnt told them.....time for you and/or df to have a chat with her named nurse/whichever nurse is in charge of her care when you get there today perhaps? just to nicely point out that she is stuck atm and could they please help her with washing and hair etc as you cant do it and its upsetting her for it not to be done. actually they do deliberatly schedule visiting times outside of doctor ward rounds. visitors get in the way and cause problems and stuff. you can ask to speak to her doctor though, it will likely be one of the juniors rather than the consultant, though might be possible to speak to consult. othe rproblem is confidentiality, they are not allowed to tell you anything without her permission. so its really up to her to tell you whats going on. howeever if she asks consult to see you and explain stuff they should( or one of the other doctors who will also know whats going on). i wont rant about not enough money means not enough nurse/care assistant, means the patients suffer and the nurses feel like crap but are far too busy to do anything about it and etc etc.
cwta things alwasy junmp into my trolley too, its impossible for me to go into tesco for one thing and not buy other stuffs. hope you didnt hurt yourself falling of the old lounger...only 5 days now till move isnt it?
unity we back to cold weather too , im still hopeful we may get a few more dry/warmer days before winter sets in again though.
sorry if i missed anyone or anything. im not deliberatly ignoring i promise.0 -
so yesterday. took cats to vet. new vet i am sure i ahvent seen before, she didnt know whitney went every month or so, didnt know i never use cat boxes as both hate them, whitney can and does open them and lets chloe out too, and its far harder to get chloe into one of them than get a harness and lead on her. whitney doesnt need restraining in anyway these days, and will sit on my shoulder happily except when she is tring to escape form the vet poking and prodding her. vet had a bee in her bonnet about cats being scared of dogs and would panic if a dog barked and !!!!!!? anyway chloe has been jabbed and doesnt have to go back for a year assuming she stay swell. whitney will be back next week for her steroid, has to be a minimum of 1 week after annual ones and 3 weeks before annual ones, which was fun to try and schedule. ill request to see one of the other vets though becasue she has been complainign of pain since last sunday, which is almost 2 weeks before she should be thinking about being due her jab, and as she isnt being sick yet nor complaining about going ot the loo its deff not time for her steroids. so we need to figure out what else i can do as i cannot tolerate her screaming, especially when its the omg i ahve seriously hurt myself scream int he middle of the night that makes me fall down the stairs in my rush to see what is wrong. vet yesterday wasnt really interested in being asked about that and pretty much said if i cant give her pills there is nothing that can be done anyway, which i knwo is wrong because there are always liquid meds to try. she is maintaining her weight, so she is mostly ok despite the fast heart rate/heart murmur she ahs developed. vet was actually impressed that she is almsot healthy despite her age. did suggest i cut her claws more frequently too if she isnt scratching, but they do that for me when i remember to ask them or they notice they need it no way im going to try, thats the part she ahtes the most, aside form havign pills shoved down her throat. and i am a bad cat mommy for not fleeing and worming them every single 4 weeks, since they both go out. seems im still a little annoyed at her.
chloe weighs a whole 4.6 kg no wonder i find her heavey, whit is still 2.6.
finally got into the drawers under my bed (since my friend was here after vets as she came to help) and pulled out all my clothes that were too small and put all the clothes that are now too big in there instead. well trousers anyway and some tops. which meant i ahd to sort my drawers, which is a good thing really.
then i spent all day running around and being a taxi service. well not quite, but i do hate it when friend suggests we go for coffee int he aprk near my hosue, then complains that she ahs to walk home because im not going all the wya back over that side of town to come straight back. since iw anted to watch a tv prog last night i went back and just stayed at her house for the 2hours before it as i cba to come home and go out again, and i dont think id have made it to watch the program then. (though it is on iplayer so wouldnt have mattered but i wasnt sure bbc2 stuff got chucked on there). i even managed to fit voting for th efirst time in my life in there somewhere. there are some strange parties out there these days.
there now ive bored you all silly by waffling for ages. thankfully today i am doing nothing, since i need to cancel aqua i will at som epoint today, or tomorrow get in the shower though.0 -

BZ- so sorry about ur wheelchair problem, these people should swap a day in your life and see what pain is.Also put your request to ward in writing then they can't ignore it, do one copy to ward sister and one to ward manager.Tell them you are worried for your Mil2b's welfare.

hassie good to see you, good luck with the doctor.0 -
Aww sharon so sorry to hear that. Your head must be reeling. Really appreciate you popping in and keeping us up to date - typing it out must make it more real for you iykwim. I'll keep you in my thoughts and send you lots of virtual hugs and strength.
Fingers crossed you can get chemo sorted soon.
Hassie It's always hard to get seats i new cars in the right position - good luck with docs and hope sciatica improves soon.
pcl What a dreadful vet! Not surprised that you don't want to see them again. Hope your poorly ickle cat feels better soon - lots of cuddles will help. *g*
I did have one vet many years ago when a cat I had was diabetic. His clinicalmanner was dreadful and he wasn't exactly gentle with the animals, but I stuck with him as he was a brilliant diagnostician. I've booked Lita in to the vets for the day Imove for her jabs and to get her claws cut as she's not much of a scratcher either. No way would I attempt it myself - she still has so many feral tendancies!
I've just woken up to the fact that I still have quite a lot of packing to do! Eek! Although I'll have access to the flat I'm moving out of for a week or so afterwards which takes the pressure off, there's not much point in paying for a remover and then not having him move half the stuff. I am getting seriously excited now *g*.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0
