BZ - Only fourteen weeks  crumbs the time flies - I'm sure it will be here in no time, but let's not wish the summer over ;). Mind you it may already be over - four days is a big improvement on last year :rotfl:.
Tell me about it - there's FAR too much to be done to wish it away!!

Thanks Cwta but I think it's just a case of getting our affairs in order rather than us being destitute. There's always the wedding fund to raid too o' course ;)

Not done so much today - slept in til 2:30 (once I'd got back to sleep after DF's alarm barrage ). I'm trying to remember that I have an infection (in the abscess) and take it easy, but I'm sure there's a happy medium in there somewhere! I go to the wheelchair ppl tomorrow morning...my appt is at 9.30am!! Not looking forward to going alone but I can't think of anyone that I'd want with me that's free...:o

Thinking about trying to get to the Jewellry Quarter this weekend, instead of the florist, as I'm starting to feel under pressure to sort it out before it gets too late to have something made...Ernest Jones were saying it would take 2months and that's once we've arranged something and I want it in my hands in plenty time for the wedding, so there's not long now to get it underway!

I've sent DF on his own straight from work to the hospital. I couldn't bear the whole mil2b's finances conversation again, esp after her card was swallowed last night.

cwta did you see the virgin offer in the mse email today?
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1726135
    might be worth investigating.

bz if i was closer id offer to come with ya so you dont ahve to go alone. good luck and take me with in your thoughts instead.

hi everyone. it got a little warmer this afternoon, warm enough to sit outside in local park and have coffee and for my friend to come sort my garden. so whilst ive been home for the afternoon ive been outside supervising.

i really am my own worst enemy at times. it owuld be much much easier if people could just read my mind and see what they really should be sorting instead of relying on me to tell them.

think im going to try for an early night tonight, assuming friend goes soonish, as i have to be up and catch cat to be at vets for 9:30 tomorrow. other friend is coming to help though, which will make it much easier to get both cats there, and whitney doesnt even bother trying to run away anymore, even in their car park she heads to their door.

  • pcl Thanks for the link - that's kind of you. Everyone I've spoken to says the line has to be actually activated by BT before they can take over a line rental, so it looks like I'm stuck with the charge. Pooey.

bz Good luck with the wheelchair fitting tomorrow and sorting out the finances. Very wise not going to hossie and staying out of the "discussion" about money. Sounds as though she may have been overspending again. Shame.

I have to be up early tomorrow as well as local paper comes out and I need to be early to snap up any bargains and free to a good home items. Only a week to go! WooHoo!!

Just a quick post - I could knit a pair of socks in the time this machine takes to load a page:rolleyes:

First, good luck BZ for tomorrow.

We're enjoying our hols, going to the island of Hoy for the day tomorrow. Weather has been good so far, but getting colder daily now. Tomorrow is deffo woolly pully weather according to the forecast.

Unity you're lucky you can take the sun - 5 mins outside in sunshine without Factor 30 and a wide-brimmed hat, and I'm no use to man nor beast!_pale_

Right, gonna sign off now - there's a large measure of Highland Park with my name on it in the bar.....;)

We didn't pay BT to reconnect the line before Sky took over it. We approached Sky first and they sorted it out through BT without us having to deal with them direct.

DF's transfered some money to me (longoverdue) today and I need to transfer some money from the wedding fund account into my overdraft, then we should be ok if we stick to the plan.

The mystery of the swallowed mil2b's card was that it's an out of date card and the new one is at her house but needs activation. Phewf! When DF has a look at her account we'll find out how well behaved she's been...

    Thanks Lw.

cwta virgin being cable shouldnt need a bt line. ntl were th eonly ones who didnt 4/5years ago because cable is different osmehow or other, so if virgin is them then it should be doable without a bt line. everyone else yeah will need a bt line annoyingly.

i now have a graden again, well a patch of weed free soil. and a shed that fits things in again.

have a good night everyone, sleep well i hope.

    morning all.

bz good luck at your appointment.
  • bz, good luck at the appointment today. What a relief that the bank card debacle was just an out of date card.
I wonder if Sky dealing with BT was what caused all your long delays? Between the two of them, I can see that happening! I'm gonna speak to Landlady and see if she will at least go halves with me on the cost.

pcl Than you for all your suggestions with the phone line. The one thing about competition for BT is that it does get a bit complicated! You're up early today. Hope that doesn't mean you've had a bad night.

lw, Frustrating isn't it when you're used to your own computer and its foibles. Nice to hear from you though. Enjoy the drinkie poohs.

I didn't sleep so well as I was conscious I wanted to get up early today - that always happens to me! I can make plenty of use of the time though and have a snooze later if need be.

Just won sofa and chair on Ebay for 1p! House clear out so they just wanted rid. Will, hopefully, have room in dining room part of kitchen for the sofa instead of a dining room - much more use to me than a dining room table and chairs. Will e able to sit in comfort when cooking.
