Racketeering
Racketeering is making money from illegal activities such as threatening people or selling worthless, immoral, or illegal goods or services.
Racketeering is highly illegal and the penalty is prison
Illegal activities:
Committing fraud is illegal. The banks told lies about PPI which was fraudulent
Threatening people:
Due to their lies, and until the High Court case earlier this year, the banks were turning down claims and then employing debt collectors to threaten you
Illegal worthless goods or services:
PPI 's and other insurance products were mis-sold and were fraudulent as they were not worth the paper they were written on but the banks still took your money ?

Hi there, can anyone help,
I had a PPI claim successfully accepted back in October. The bank have confirmed they received my acceptance letter back on 20th Oct and I was told 28 working days until I'd receive the money. This didn't materialise.
I received both a text from RBS group and a written letter on 23rd Dec confirming payment had been made and that I could expect it in 7 days. There is still no sign of my money almost a month later. I've tried calling on almost a daily basis but the PPI department simply won't help me, they say they've made the payment to either the collections or credit management service team so it's no longer their problem. The payment is made to CMS and it's now their responsibility to process it.
I've spoken with the Collections and CMS teams but they say they can't help me as my accounts aren't actually held with them as I have no outstanding debts or arrears with the bank. They literally don't have any access to my accounts. They've also told me the process of payment described by the PPI team is totally inaccurate anyway and that payment should be made directly into my current account. When I bring this back to the PPI department I'm told the same thing - it's not their problem.
I'm a little stuck as I've budgeted according to the information I received from the bank on 23rd (that I'll have my money in 7 days) and can't get hold of anyone who will help me find out why I haven't received my money, where it is and when I can expect it. I've asked on multiple occasions for a manager to phone me back but I'm still waiting.
Any help much appreciated!!
Ask them to provide written proof of where this refund has gone,as you have had no success with trying to find this information from RBS,and need this information to pursue this with the FOS.
Sorry i cannot be of more help and i hope you get this sorted.0 -
Hi there, could someone help please. Im thinking of making a claim against HSBC and i have looked a the template and it asks for a policy number? Is this the loan account number as i cant find anything on my paperwork? Also, do you have to do claims seperatly? I mean, we took the loan out ( with loan account number) then a year later, we went back saying we were having problems paying it back with overdraft and cards, so they re-did the loan ( with a different loan account number) and then again, HSBC said it would be better to consolidate all our credit cards, loan, overdraft etc to ADD to the loan and again, they set us up with a new loan with a new loan account number. So which loan number do i use, does the last one class as the main loan and go by that? Also is that to use for the policy number? Sorry for being dim lol
Have i posted this in the right section?
They should find all loans from the first loan to the last, but if you put the account numbers then you know for sure they will be looked at.0 -
Yummymummy69 wrote: »Hi all,
Just before Christmas I was paid a lump sum from RBS to settle my PPI claim. I used a Claim company - Charterhouse - to get my money. My original paperwork was no win no fee, but they stuffed lots up and lost all of my paperwork ending up in me chasing them to find out progress. I signed the paperwork allowing them to proceed which mentioned a fee payable to them - eek!
My question is if they don't come after me for their share and I have old original paperwork saying no win no fee will I have to pay them??
Should I tell them that I've been paid as they don't seem to know and are totally incompetent??
Thoughts?
Thanks for reading chaps
The no win no fee does not work in this case as they won for you.
If they ask for the money and you dont pay them, they will take you to court, they will not mess about.
Having said that..they have not earned the "fee" as you did all the work, this is what happens with a claims co,it is money for old rope.
As you did all the work, when they send you the bill, ring them up (send it in writing too) that you do not feel they have done enough for your claim to warrant the fee they are charging, and you would like a breakdown of the work done by them to negotiate a fee for what they actually did.
This may get you a reduction.
If they refuse, tell them you will be contacting the MOJ

Hi,if the reasons for mis sell are the same, then you can put all account numbers on the same claim form.
Make sure when you get an acknowledgement that all the loans are being looked at,although they should look at all loans together from the last loan that you claim for.
Some do this over the phone, who is the bank?.
Thanks for your reply....Halifax is the bank.0 -

We were sold insurance against the loan , not named PPI but Decreasing Term Assurance
We were told we had to take this out if we wanted the loan
Would anyone be able to advise if this is eligible for a claim
