Helo to all - hope you're well.
PenPin Glad we've got you back - and sorry to hear you're having family problems. Go and see your family member and then, sometime afterwards, casually drop it into the conversation with your Mum - alternatively, wait for the family member to tell her. She'd probably be really touched that you'd made a special visit. I hope you enjoy your trip.
Bargainbird -Spike is a cute name!
WB Sybil PLEASE take LB's heater out of operation - electrical appliances which work or don't work as they feel like it usually have faults which may make them dangerous. As for the shampoo, don't use it on your hair - life's too short!
Moggins Whatever decision you end up making I wish you the very best of luck with it.
Slightly better day today work-wise.....
** Sorry - just had to stop to laugh at Gordon Ramsay's face on TV - someone has just had a total rant at his boss in one of these "restaurant nightmares" shows -more f-words than you can shake a stick at and poor Gordon looking like he wants to find a hole in the floor!**:rotfl:
...as I was saying, a slightly better day today barring a couple of minor panics. My dozy colleague is off next week too so hopefully I can get things under control and keep them that way. Monday will be a bit dodgy no doubt as there will just be two of us in to run the place. Oh well.
Flylady has gone to pot this week but I'm hopeful I'll get back on track over the next day or so. Dinner tonight was rabbit stew from the SC, and there is enough left to do my lunch for tomorrow. We've stripped the bed and remade it this evening so have that lovely fresh bedding feeling to look forward to tonight! Bedding is now in the WM too and will go on for a couple of hours in the TD tonight.
Spoke with my Mum earlier on - she's very stiff and sore today but that's to be expected. I suggested Arnica cream for the bruises and to see what homeopathic remedies might help with the pulled muscles etc as well so she was going to research that. She and Dad went to Tesco today so they have picked up the special offer for the two bags of Rooster potatoes for £2.50 and we will have one each. I'm going to go and pick her up tomorrow as Dad's going to football and MrEH is playing rugby and we're going to have a mooch round Morrisons - I shall get my weekly shop there too and see how the prices compare. Did I hear rumours of cheap baked beans? I'll grab a few tins if so as Mr T's prices have gone up so much.
Had the fright of my life earlier on - got the bill from Orange for my mobile - bill total was £26.43 - but according to their summary sheet they had taken a payment of £1400 odd!!! Needless to say I rushed onto the online banking to make sure that they hadn't done anything so silly, with visions of the mortgage and all the other bills bouncing etc, but thank goodness only the standard amount had been taken! Phew! My heart rate may return to normal at some stage over the next few days! :rotfl:

So much I have read this week, and so much has fallen out of my head
Congratulations to Bargain bird and spike xx
PP if it was me I would just go, the room is paid for and hope you can see family member who is poorly, maybe tell your mum afterwards.
Oh eck struggling now to remember the rest.
Sybil .. little bear sounds soooo like my son at that age, love hearing his antics (my son is now 23 and does not like hearing about his early years lol)
(((((hugs)))) to all those who are poorly, looking after poorlies, or just want one
OS wise this week has not been good, OH has said he will be home so have cooked for us, then he wasnt. Said he will be away, then he wasnt. Had to throw away a cottage pie as the mince bit was from the freezer so couldnt freeze again, it sat in the fridge for 4 days and we just didn't fancy trying it
Have to do different hours at work, one week 30 hours, the next 20, but actually we are getting more work but hours staying the same, ho hummm but at least I still have work.
Hope everyone has a good weekend
See you all soon
