Moggins - lots of hugs to you hun, I will be thinking of you xx
Bargainbird - bless him he's lovely, Spike is a very funky name, I like it! Congratulations on his arrival xx
Aussie - have a fantastic trip, I'm sure you will - are you busy refilling shampoo bottles today?!
Marie - what sad news, they will be in my prayers xx
Penpin - glad you're safely home, I hope that the trip goes well
Smoky - have you spoken to ds2's assigned worker at playschool? They are meant to keep notes and keep you informed! I hope that everything settles down soon and the boys are okay! You sound like a whirlwind again whizzing around doing so much, and I thought I'd been busy, lol! Slow down woman, have a cuppa and breathe! xx
Well everything is now done except for the ironing, done a bit but think I'll do some later whilst watching something on telly! Yeah I know, it's just an excuse not to do it right now lol!
Was going to make the chicken pies for tomorrow night, but butter is frozen and grating was taking ages! Hv left it in the mixing bowl to defrost and will sort out the pastry when it has! Made up the filling last night when I stripped the chicken after the kids tea, also made up a pan of chicken noodle soup, think they all ate that for their supper as there wasn't a lot left this morning!
Dog got the carcass and boiled veg once it had cooled a bit, he was very happy - not as happy as this morning when I didn't drag him out for his walk in the rain, he hates the rain! I swear he smiled at me!
Dinner tonight will be Chinese, got the rice to egg fry later, some pork in the fridge for dousing in some kind of sauce, will do onions, carrots and peppers in batter with sweet chilli sauce, stir fried veg with extra soy sauce for dd3, and a chinese curry as well cos that's my fave! Kids love helping when we do loads of dishes, so it'll be a good evening.
Lunch today will be chickpeas in harrissa with some rice for me, kids took hm rolls with I can't remember what in them, apple, banana, cookies.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
I so so want to make that pudding for the weekend, I am useless at converting US recipes though and will drinking chocolate work.
I have some yummy suchards drinking chocolate
Asda sell a plastic measuring jug with cup measures marked out on the side, it was 24p when I bought a new one last week!
Somewhere on here there was a thread about cup measures, and someone had suggested marking a glass jar with a rubber band or marker pen at a cup, half cup, quarter cup, and using that.
Drinking choc isn't as strong as cocoa, so you could use it but would need to use more of it and also use less sugar, as it contains a lot usually. If it's the suchards one in the tin though I'm not so sure, cos it's more like grated choc I think?GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Morning all and what a fine morning it is.......to all who need hugs, I have lots to spare as baby has gone to Nannas for the day and will be getting them there!!! :T
So what have I done today......ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Apart from check on the animals and collect eggs!!! Today is the first day since DS was born that I haven't had him with me and had time to myself, so I thought I'd be naughty and laze!!
Am sat in my pink PJ's with a cup of tea and marmite on toast, surfing the internet and dreaming of a life with lots more animals!!!
What do I need to do......well, put more bedding in for the ducks and geese because it's getting colder, put the dogs out for a run, do a load of washing inc DS nappies...(cant seem to get the orange stains out of his Nature Babies wraps, tried Napisan and all sorts..)....wash the floors...and then pop into work to show my face!!!
I feel very naughty sat here and to top it off, I'm just off to the kitchen on a chocolare hunt...Hey,in for a penny and all that....

Afternoon peeps
very cold here but dry at the moment thank goodness, i`m really fed up with the weather, i hoped that spring wasn`t far away too but it seems that winter will be back with a vengeance in a couple of days.
Early start this morning, i`ve made an enormous bowl of mixed salad which is now sitting in the fridge chilling, we shall be having some of this for dinner later with cottage cheese and chives, feta and other bits and bobs.
All the washing is hung on the airers, the dw and bm emptied and i`ve cooked some happy chicken drumsticks from the freezer that i bought an age ago to have with the salad.
Mr Sunny has taken Dad to the supermarket to do his shopping and i`ve had a good tidy round, Mr Sunny will be walking the houndies when he gets back as i shall be off to w*rk.
Bargainbird - Spike is a great name, he looks gorgeous.
Moggins - ((((HUGS)))) hope that everything works out for the best.
Meanmarie - What sad news, (((hugs))) for you and your nephews family.
Aussie - Have a great time
I`m off to find something to eat as i`ve not had a thing yet today, must find something before i leave for w*rk
Have a Fantastic Friday peeps.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Morning folks!
Congratulations to Bargainbird on the birth of Spike. He's adorable. Totally gorgeous. And what a fab and funky name - I love it!! You made me feel quite broody all over again. Last year I was hoping to get pregnant after my friend B gave birth to her little boy but I haven't seen my OH since last May so that went out the window. Think it's a little late now - think that was my chance gone.
Getting bit cold now so will go put another jumper on. Been out and done the shop already - had to pick up paper and some thick socks from Wilkos for flatmate so managed to pick some bargains up - loaf tin and spatula, thick sock booties and over the knee toasties from TK Maxx for only £2.99 and some food from Mr T. (only went in for some choc spread - not value tho I thought the jar was too big and it might be yukky - ended up spending a lot more but picked up some bargains and some YS steak mince one person portion size and button mushrooms)
Gotta go get lunch of LO rainbow trout fillet and curly kale and then wash the dishes so I can put on the WM.
Hope everyone is well and warm.
