thanks for that. i have both of those stores in my town so will have a look

i am a large bag kinda girl, so may go for that idea, but just thinking if and when hubby might be out on his own or when bubs is with nan that they will need a bag.

I don't want to buy a purpose made one because they are mostly quite girly. I will be using a rucksack I think...

...having said that hubby wants us to buy one...probably so he can say it is far to girly for him to do changes :rotfl:

Do you have a normal medium size rucksack kicking about? I used one of them with dd1 as it meant that DH could carry it (and therefore change dd ;)) without giving me the "I am not holding that look" (at the bag not dd!)
  • i got my test result from the doctors this morning and i am definately pregnant! its a good job because my belly is huge! ive got an appointment with the midwife next thursday and i should get a date for my hospital appointment through soon.

i didnt have any ms at all with jackson, this time ive felt a bit queasy in the mornings but nothing too bad.

i didnt get any stretch marks throughout the whole of my pregnancy last time, then after he was born i got one on my belly! ive also got some on the very tops of my inside legs which seems like a strange place to get them

LOL I looked at the 2 in the Tesco baby event and thought they weren't too bad really - one is black and one is beige and they are £5 and £8 I think... No idea if they are any good though :)

this would be the exact reason why hubby would let me get a girly one too.

must bring that up today and see what he says :D

I don't help myself in that area - I have caught DH or DSS out a few times by getting them to hold my handbag 'for a sec' and then saying 'oh - you've got something on the heel of your shoe'

As they tip their heel up I then wolf whistle loudly and say 'Hel-lo Sailor'

Makes me roll with laughter :rotfl:

You can imagine how impressed my 9 year old step son is with that :D

i remember one trip back home and we were at bangkok airport and i am very security conscious about my bag and that the time was using a white londsale bag that had pink piping on it (so i could fit in bottle of water/passport wallet/etc for the plane).

i told hubby to hold onto it so i could go to the loo and he was none too impressed when i took longer than he thought was necessary cause he was stood there with a white and pink bag.

Just spoke to the Pyschiatrict Nurse. I was hoping for perhaps a few session of CBT or counselling, but you know what her suggestion was? I could ask for an elective c-section! Think I'd rather tackle the issue instead of having unessercary surgery.
Sorry If I'm a bit late for this reaction but I just HAD to say
    OH MY FLUFFY GOD!!!
I only know a tiny bit of your problems and I know that that is not the best thing to say!!
I think you should complain feelie xx

  • I have a question for you ladies please which is when did you or would you tell people about your pregnancy?

Our original view was that we would wait until after the 12 week scan when we were a bit more relaxed as no-one even knew we were TTC and I'd hate having to tell people if something went wrong early on.

However, I am going to Australia for by brother's wedding in a weeks' time and I am wondering if we should tell my parents who will also be there. The reason for this is firstly that they may guess anyway if I'm not drinking or feeling ill and if they knew they could help cover up for me. Also, if anything did go wrong it might help if they already knew I was pregnant and could then support my OH.

Of course if we told my parents we'd probably have to tell OH's mum so he didn't feel she was being left out but this would be ok as I think both sets of parents would respect our requests not to tell anyone else.

If we do tell my parents then I'll need to tell them soon here in the UK as I want them to have time to get used to the idea and also don't want to spoil my brother's thunder by announcing my pregnancy when everyone should be concentrating on his wedding;)

I'm 6 weeks pregnant by the way.

Would appreciate your advice please as I can't make up my mind.

    Thanks
