It is entirely possible that people may as why you are not drinking (I didn't get asked - more "omg you are pregnant aren't you!!!") I can see why you are torn - do your parents live in the UK or in oz? I am thinking that if they live out there too you would rather tell them in person? Are you there for long after your brother and sil go on honeymoon?
Chasingbutterflies, I can totally imagine people asking why I'm not drinking but was thinking I could say I'm on antibiotics or something! The only people from my side of the family at the wedding will be my parents and brother so it's not like I'm going to know anyone or have loads of family/friends asking questions.
It's a bit complicated but my parents live in Spain. We do visit occasionally but it would certainly be convenient to tell them in Australia and nice to do so face to face. My brother will be going off on honeymoon the day after the wedding and we'll be with my parents for a week which is why I thought they might guess and I suppose I could tell them then after the wedding.0 -
As long as you are prepared and can come up with something then I would go along with that - I wasn't my cheeks flushed - which said everything  Once they had all settled they were told to keep quiet as it was very early... antibiotics is a good one just get your "illness" sorted as that will be their next question!
eta - I know it is fibbing - but it is for the right reasons...0 -
CB - it was the flushing cheeks that gave me away - damn these cheeks.
I can skirt around things but a couple of people have said 'you're not pg are you?' to which I said 'No :embarasse ' - yeah right ..:rotfl:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Does anyone know where i can get a Mamas & Papas Ziko Frankie pushchair in last seasons colours e.g chocolate brown? Have tried everywhere that i can think of but with no luck.

This reminds me - a couple of days after I got my BFP I had a doctor's appointment and got into work a bit late. One of the ladies I work with (who's a nosey so and so:mad: ) said to my boss that I'd had a lot of doctor's appointments recently so I must be pregnant. So when I got in my boss asked me if I was pregnant and of course I was but only just and had to say no but I went bright red! I was so annoyed as I've probably only been to the doctors twice in the last year and the first time was nothing to do with pregnancy. Of course now because I was so embarrassed I'm sure my boss suspects
(on reflection given my acting skills maybe trying to tell lies about being on antibotics isn't a very good idea:rotfl: )0 -
hello ladies back again had a busy day lol went for lunch then visited MIL and had a nice bleather, had pains on and off but nothing major??? then came home to a nice letter saying school has outbreak of headlice can every child be treated. so have been away getting lotion for doing hair tonight! oh the joys of children lol!!
i dont think i would be able to go over the 10 days and would rather not have baby in any sort of danger no matter how small before being induced. even though i hate the thought of being induced again i would rather that than something happen.
telling people this time i told my mum and dad and mil and fil after my scan which was around 14 weeks and i was still in so much shock i never told anyone else until around 22-24 weeks lol! even now some people i havent seen in a while are shocked im pregnant as they didnt have a clue!!
MFD and Feelie look at they bumps!!!! i was told yest i wasnt that big think she must have forgotten her glasses lol! What's for you won't go past you0 -
Depends what kind of person you are I guess but I would have absolutely no problem in someone announcing that they were pregnant before my wedding - anyone!! It wouldn't bother me on the day either - just cause for more celebration
In fact I would be fuming if any of my friends or family didn't tell me and I went off on honeymoon not knowing and being able to congratulate them myself!
for 'fuming' read a bit miffed :rotfl:please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Wendy - have you tried the Mamas and Papas factory stores? There are quite a few dotted around the country...I would imagine that they sell last seasons colours?? Perhaps you could give the closest one to you a call?
