The thing is at the central appoinments number the lady was really sympathetic and can understand the need to "see"* everything is ok... I wobbled when offered my appt at 16wks
so I have 2 appts 1 for scan (12wks), 1 for consultant (16wks) - instead of 1 2hr appt for both. Everyone who had their booking in appt on the same day as me had their paperwork delayed by our doctors surgery though... by the time I queried it with the mw she was already well aware of the problem.
* I am a bit worried because ms stopped a week or so ago... dd1 I was sick all the time until she arrived, ds ms stopped at 5/6months, dd2 ms stopped at 7/8months... a stupid thing to worry over I know...
I've been changed consultants and the new is aware of me but she allocates her own appointments and it takes a while. I am getting a bit miffed, it's a very high risk pregnancy but just got to wait
How far on are you?0 -
(hugs) triggles - I don't know what to say other than that hun - take care.
tia - today 11+5 tbh in your shoes I would be making myself a pita (in a nice way!) to whoever could get me an apptThere seem to be a lot of new facilities around since I had the others but not enough staff iykwim?
eta - I just read that back and realised I sound like my mil *lol*
I know is isn't "normal" to have ms to the extent that I did with the others but every pregnancy is different and until Thursday I am sticking with that thought - back to cleaning the oven0 -
I'm probably going to be gone for a few days or so - FIL has been ill in hospital - and was making some improvement, but we were just told this afternoon that he is terminal - his lungs are collapsing somewhat and I think they are just keeping him comfortable at this point until he passes. DH is having real difficulty with it, and I'm going to have to put all my focus on him, DS, and MIL for a bit.

Sorry to hear that Triggles - having recently lost both my grandparents I can say that it's good when you have time to come to terms with them passing before they go - but the waiting is an odd time where you are torn between wanting them to pull through and go quickly and you end up feeling very confused and snappy because you feel bad that you want them to pass quickly and you know it's kinda wrong...
I think the quiet support from my hubby and my mum (it was my paternal grandparents) was perfect for me. Left me to deal with things on my own but there was always a cuddle and someone to talk to when I was ready...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

CB, my ms with DS1 was the kind you read about, sick till 12noon, then fine, went away at 13-14 weeks. DS2 I had hyper-emisis. This time (I'm 12 weeks OR 11/2:rolleyes: ) it's been not too bad, so each pregnancy is different I guess. It kinda tailed off maybe 2 weeks ago to half hour of almost retching at stuff to nothing much really and then today it was back.
I wouldn't worry too much about it going away, try and enjoy it!
I will be making myself a PITA soon, don't worry! Had vauge ideas of phoning them about my sore back and what is the start of the SPD again and playing dumb... But not got to that volume of miffedness yet.0 -
Triggles - Don't know what to say but just wanted to add my thoughts are with you all.You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0

I went into central London today to pick up some maternity clothes as my bump is now huge (to me anyway) and I'm going out for a posh meal tonight with OH and have absolutely nothing to wear. There was a woman in Topshop trying on maternity jeans who was tiny. She must have been a size 6, with a completely flat stomach! I just couldn't understand why she was buying maternity jeans when she so clearly didn't need them yet, and won't for some time to come! The rest of us heffalumps waiting for the changing room just looked on at her enviously.
I know I am huge though, because everyone rushed to offer me a seat on the tube both there and back, and when I was standing for a few seconds just before I got off the tube, and old man decided to take the whole carriage to task for not offering me a seat, which was v embarrassing! Still at least I know the bump isn't in my mind.
And given that its clearly obvious now, I'm going to stop the futile attempt to try to hide it in bigger non-maternity clothes, and just let people guess away even though I'm not at the magic 12 week mark yet. There's really no point in looking and feeling so uncomfortable for no reason.0 -

Hi all..
*hugs* to Triggles and family..
I think I definitely need new tops.. got told about five times today that I look like I'm piling on the weight - don't look preg, just tubby! Gee, thanks, oh darling collegues!
Baby seems like Haribo Tangfantastic (is that what they're called?) and Lucozade together!Oops.. I take it I'm not supposed to eat sweets just to get Baby moving..
Keeping up the theme of appliances conking out, our boiler light flame thingy went out on Saturday and it's not come back on sinceGot a man booked to fix it but he can only come on Weds night so in the meantime I'm visiting my parents a lot to use the facilities
Damn thing, typical it goes just about six weeks before we're about to replace it! Luckily the part is only about £20 to fix it.
We those who's kitchen applicances have gone bang, have you looked to see if you have a www.stuff4sale.co.uk covering your area? It's like the classified ads from local papers but with photos. Might be worth a shot
Where's Sami today? Nice to see you back Feelie - glad your birthday turned out good in the end0 -

And FG... When I told my Nan I was pregnant again she went off on a tangent how it was a '1 in 1 out' system and her time was coming... I think she's just a little derranged... The year Aimee was born we had 3 babies born into the family and nobody died that year... Let alone 3....
In my case its 1 out 1 in..my mum sadly died last year..28th October..2days before my baby is due this year. I believe she has sent down him/her especially. I am dreading telling my dad though, hope he doesn't see it as being insensitivelove my little man he is amazing :j0
